Twitter Hides POTUS Tweet

Why are people so fucking complacent to just say "it will never happen"? Because all of his other promises are bullshit too? If he is just bullshitting to get a reaction, the reaction should still exist. People should be telling him from every side of the aisle: "this is FUCKING STUPID"
Just like with the israel thing, and north korea, and sirya, and russia, and mexico, and that time he called mommy merkel fat, and so on...

Really surprised to hear this interpretation so prevalent in this thread.

Sounds like people are saying: Mr. President, please negotiate with big tech more politely. Corporations controlling public opinion may be an issue, but we're really interested in the convenience factor.

Because his negotiation is reckless. Of course big tech censorship has been an issue for years, and it'd be fantastic if we could do something about it. But it sounds to me he's lashing out blindly because his feelings are hurt and the immediate solution he wants will backfire in the long run.

He's threatening Twitter to demonstrate what could happen if they don't play ball. He's done this in the past with geopolitics, now he's trying it with domestic media companies. Remember when he was "going to kill net neutrality"?
Jack is opening flaunting off his bullshit "threats".

So that obviously didn't fucking work.

I can't argue with that. If you want to get angry over inflammatory tweets made by the fattest public figure in the land I can't blame you, nor stop you. I can't even say you don't have a point given how readily you've been dropped by service providers, banks and whoever else. I can't argue repealing Section 230 is a good idea either, since by all measures it looks like a terrible one.

What I am saying is that the president does this sort of thing constantly. All that happens is he calms down and pursues a more realistic venue. Other posters have already mentioned the Syria airfield, or Net Neutrality (which you snipped from your reply quote for some odd reason), etc., which follow this exact pattern. It's how the man operates. For how much you sincerely care about Section 230 protections, I would assume you understand how difficult (and how long) it would take to actually accomplish such a herculian, pointless task.

You are clearly a cucked soyboy #Istandwithher democrap. Consoom your soy :fapcup:

God, when did this site became so cucked?
Shut the fuck up, niggerfaggot. Why can't I make fun of your beloved God Emperor? I make fun of the Democrats 80% of the time and now when I make fun of the Jewish cocksucker (some of whose policies I agree with), suddenly, I'M a soy cuck beta male.

Shove your computer straight up your ass and die of bleeding when the monitor pierces through your minuscule brain.

well truthfully I think it's just weaker willed to close the farms just because trump wants to remove a law to spite Twitter. which is more important the freedom of speech or an American citizenship? when you run a site like this there is you got to accept that will be opposition. there's no point in citizenship to country that makes it easier to suppress speech.

You can't be serious - that scumsucker has had a warrant out for the death of net neutrality since day one.
The FCC's actions on Net Neutrality already happened. What differences have you noticed?

Ajit Pai got the Kavanaugh treatment. All the protestors shouting at hearings, the bomb threats, the people showing up to his house, etc.

Your opinion may be influenced by performative politics meant to demonize the administration. Could park a small planet between the accusations and the reality.

The boomer doesn't know how Internet works, yet uses it periodically for malicious purposes.

Why don't we have a bunch of college students reform our financial institutions?

If anything, he does it to stir up a reaction from his followers to cement their votes. It’s just like his pre-election conspiracy theories.
Also, there’s no doubt he (?) will be sued & possibly have it revoked. It violated some law somewhere.

There's a rule that I once read about news, and this may be a paraphrase: "wait 48 hours before having an emotional response to any big news story."

I say this because:
Jumping to histrionics very reminiscent of many lolcows. Nothing is done, yet. Sleep it off, Null.
It seems like this week has been a constant stream of hysteria and I'm getting so goddamned tired of it all.

Now first off, I don't want Section 230 to be repealed. I think Trump's statements about repealing it are awful, and unless he has some giga-brained plan to instantly replace it with something much better, I will "bite back" at him if he starts seriously going after Section 230.

At the same time, we have to look at Trump's actions and not just his words. His latest EO does not materially change Section 230 in any way, last time I read it. He has walked back similar extreme statements before. I would advise calming down and (haha) monitoring the situation.

At the same time, I would also advise contacting the White House en masse to voice your concerns about these recent statements.
Why do you even still have a glimmer of hope in your trash illiterate userbase?

Even if they read the law their reptilian brains will fail to grasp any discernible consequence, even if the worst happen and the internet becomes a barren distopia they will be too distracted by stupid shit to notice the difference.

Don't waste your time trying ot make them understand something they're not mentally qualified to, just think that there's a chance 230 gets removed and also there's a chance that it will remain untouched.

And do what you have to do later instead of chimping like a sperg in this thread.
So why are you here, Sir Galaxy-Brain?
So when is the torrent of the entire site going up
Such a torrent would contain multi-terabyte files, so probably relatively far off from now.
