For everyone asking where Phil is, we all know the answer: holed up in hovel bouncing and squeaking. Actually considering things, Phil is probably genuinely afraid right now, or at least was for the first couple days with all of these protests, even if he's in one of the whitest cities in the US. Phil doesn't handle stress well. Remember when he had his little freak out because he missed his bus and had to wait at the bus stop? Any protests or rioting would scare the shit at him. He isn't actually afraid of Kiwifarms, or at least not of us breaking into his apartment. He knows its a game, at the end of the day we aren't going to hurt him, we aren't going to interact with him at all. If anything he kind of gets off on fantasies about fighting us and other "fascists." We're a convenient bogeyman, an enemy he can brag about to other wannabes and Antifa cosplayers, and in that we've been the best thing that ever happened to him. The only thing he really fears about us is us blowing his image. We tell people he's not really Latino, and that ruins his whole narrative, not that anyone actually believes it anymore anyway.
But riots? Looting? Protests? Those are things well beyond his experience, and well beyond his comfort zone. You can bet he's staying inside and far away from any sort of real life activism. I'd be very curious to see his social media right now. I suspect he's going to be uncharacteristically silent while he tries to figure out what position to take on this whole thing. Phil is old, he's out of touch with youth culture, especially the SJW crowd he's trying to ingratiate himself to. He doesn't really understand any of the politics or issues he attaches himself to. He's too slow, but moreover, he also really does have some fascist tendencies. He'll parrot back stuff about how "evil" cops are, but in reality he wants to be the one with the power. He wants to beat people up, he wants to bully people, he wants to throw his weight around. And, he really doesn't like black people, as we all know. The identity politics thing is just another form of cosplay for him, but I think its becoming harder for him to know what he's "supposed" to say, and indeed he's finding himself blocked or ignored more and more these days, so he has to be careful to toe the party line.
Just look at his YouTube channel. He has playlists of all of those. Recently it’s been Turks.
Yeah, I saw that. I wonder why. I'm assuming he's trying out the faux Muslim thing and is leaning towards Erdoğan because he's seen as a "bad guy" and strong man dictator, but it's kind of funny because Phil has previously tried cosplaying as YPJ/YPG/PKK and tried to use pro-Iranian/pro-Assad imagery as well. None of those groups get along, and all of them are pretty opposed to Erdoğan. It is possible he thinks of Turkey as a white and European Muslim country, so less scary for him, and one he could conceivably cosplay as. He seems to have conflated Turkey with the Balkans and Chechnya judging by his playlist.

Its mostly shitty electronica, and some of it isn't even Turkish. What's interesting about almost all of his playlists is that there are a lot of prominent Turkish (and Arabic, Chechen, Afghan, Persian, etc) musicians who he seems to be completely unaware of. I'm not sure how he's finding his music, but I'd be interested in seeing.

Phil isn't listening to classical and Sufi Ottoman music, and Phil wouldn't know about about the connections between Turkey and Azerbaijan, and the Turkic peoples in Kazakhstan, Ozbekistan, Turkmenistan, etc (though to be fair most Americans wouldn't either).

I think it goes to show that a lot of Phil's views of history are shaped by the media. Granted, there was a lot of good American music that came out of that era, but for Phil, when he thinks of the Vietnam War, he's thinking of it from the point of view of the Americans, and even then from what he saw in Hollywood movies, not from what he read in history books or even saw in documentaries. Kind of ironic as he wants to cosplay as some sort of Commie, but has no idea what sort of propaganda the Viet-Cong would have listened to from that era. Even if he did find some historic Vietnamese (or Soviet, North Korean, Chinese, Cuban, etc) propaganda music from that era, he wouldn't like it because it would be too different from the sort of generic bubble gum pop he was raised on, and he can't understand the lyrics. He wouldn't view it as "cool" and "hip" enough.

Well... if you'll recall Phil tried to argue that mass marketed boy bands were "Communist rebel music." I still strongly suspect that Phil's parents (or more likely, his mom) didn't let Phil listen to anything too heavy because they were afraid he'd spazz out, and judging by what we know of his youth that was probably a good call, but it has stunted his taste in music. Even now, most of it seems to be shitty electronic music and rap.
I've noticed Phil has stopped getting new tattoos and is no longer showing off the ones he already has. Could it be that he has realised that they're really embarrassing?
Actually its quite possible. We often joke here about how dense Phil is, but he is capable of feeling shame if you make fun of him enough. He stopped showing his buck teeth after we pointed them out repeatedly, and eventually stopped showing his face altogether (yet somehow managed to look even fatter and more retarded in full balaclava!). I think he's starting to realize how dumb they are, though it may well be that he's simply realized the things he
thought were cool didn't impress the Antifa wannabes he was trying to hang out with. Like if they don't share his bicycle fetish, or the obsession with road maps and rainbow flags, or figures walking off into the woods, I'm sure he'll eventually regret permanently putting things on his skin. Oh and the Star Wars tattoos. I'd forgotten those. He got tattoos of a space fascist who is likely "cancelled" by the people he wants to impress, so I'm sure he's not happy about that.

Yep, I remember that one. Another good example of Phil feeling shame and embarrassment. Kind of funny considering he'll proudly proclaim he doesn't wipe his own ass because... something something oppression, but when he realizes people still consider furries a joke he dropped that persona pretty quick.
