An AR with an arm-brace is as small as any available SMG and a has a more powerful rifle cartridge behind it. You can also be a lot more precise with a rifle than a shotgun, so in a situation where you don’t want collateral damage it’s a better solution.

With that point it should be noted that civilian "SMGs" have to be a certain length for legal reasons. They either have to qualify for a long arm or a pistol, so you have situations where they have to be enlarged from their military version. If you look at the civilian version of the P90, they have to make the barrel longer for it to legally counts as a "long gun" instead of a short-barreled-rifle.

Have any of the spergs tracking the Covid numbers see any significant spikes in America lately? It's been a week more or less, so shouldnt a rise in cases be visible at this point? Honestly the only good thing to come of this is so we can know whether the whole Covid lockdown was a sham or not.
COVID-19 has an incubation period of between one and fourteen days, on average five to six days. So it will take a couple more days for the first symptoms to start showing on the protesters and rioters. A lot of that is going to get misreported as the equivalent of "con crud" (that generic illness you catch when you go anywhere with large amounts of people for a few hours), and... well, they may have some additional issues if they inhaled tear gas since that will have likely damaged their mucous membranes and made it easier for the virus to take hold.

We should be seeing a decent spike in COVID-19 cases by this time next week at the latest.

Instagram has been on a roll with the bad takes. I’m not sure if it’s been posted yet or not, so feel free to rate this late.
Ditto. Saw one where they someone compared the price of police riot armour over nurse scrubs. ($495 to $15). My first thought was a facepalm seeing as how nurses AREN'T USUALLY BEING ASSAULTED OR FIRED UPON. Then I laughed because I realized my work clothes are more expensive than riot gear (looking at under $1000 for work boots, PPE, and FR clothing)

Because you can buy semi-automatic AR-15s, which everyone means by AR. Anything automatic is really hard to get a hold of, Pistol Caliber Carbines don't have as much of a following (making things like magazines and modifications more difficult to get a hold of) and use pistol bullets (duh). Shotguns work fine for home defense, but don't have as many rounds and those that take easily replaceable magazines tend to be either waaay too expensive or low quality.

AR-15s are a reasonable choice given that they're cheap, popular, and have a significant amount of ammunition allowing you to fire multiple shots and engage multiple targets. Their recoil isn't significant, so you won't really gain much from switching to a pistol caliber given you are shooting semi-auto anyway.
I can vouch for this Shotgun.

Not too expensive and the mags stack.

Corporate/social media "buzzword" culture infecting everyday life. Same reason they had to brand it "Social Distancing" instead of just telling people to maintain a safe distance. They don't even understand how overwhelming all the fucking jargon has been the past decade. Unreal.
but they do; thats why they do it

It's not just Dem cities anymore.

I share your hope for the military though. If leftists are quitting because they think it can't be destroyed from within, that's a good sign. It also means that if true, the institution will become more right wing as events unfold.
when a group gets too right wing they just subvert it or destroy it like they just did with the Minneapolis police
https://twitter.com/ubereats/status...[/URL but like, isn't this ACTUALLY illegal
if no one presses charges then its...mping blacks the last 30 years too. what now?
I wonder how big this Antifa groups social media guys are? They must have a dedicated cloud account for each cell where they upload edit and disseminate the videos via "trustworthy" accounts.

lefty twitter has huge groups, they even workshop each others tweets. cumtown and chapo and other socialist twitter users give each other the ok before they even tweet out jokes

Kiwi Farms made me more optimistic about people my age, to be honest. A lot of the people in this thread seem to be in their 20s and have their heads screwed on straight. I don't know if we can ever return to Kennedy's Camelot, but, it looks like people are willing to try and help one another. I do believe there is still good in the world and that things can improve from this point.
Kennedy destroyed the US. Camelot was basically them ruling over this dystopian shithole.
dude went from double digit view lets play videos to 20k views on this rant lol
i guess we know what kind of content he will be making from now on
he'll get shut down quick i guarantee it
I've seen some of the WORST Fucking takes on Twitter about this shit.

The fucking Sergeant Major of the Army and the Chief Master Sergeant of the Air Force as well as some fucking 3-star made absolutely garbage takes on Twitter.

For comparison: When Rodney King went down what we were told is: "You're one goddamn color, and that's green. Uncle Sam doesn't pay you to think or have fucking opinions. If you don't like it, go into PAC and we'll give you a pink slip since we're doing a drawdown anyway. Get out of the way for someone who's loyal to his oaths."

That was it.

I can't see them saying that now.

Too afraid of being fucking canceled after those fucking whining SJW's and Sheboons took down that fucking Admiral a couple years back.

Look at that. Senior NCO's and fucking Officers afraid of goddamn Cancel Culture.
thats because HW Bush was in office, he was a teenager war hero, he killed one president and almost killed another. he was head of the CIA and approved the most horrifying shit they ever did. He understood all the powers available to him quite well and just got through fist fucking the savings and loan people. If you think he was going to let some shithead with a couple stars on his uniform get away with disobeying him, your grandchildren were going to pay the price. he's the reason fucking perot dropped out in july. he could vaporize your entire family and he made sure the officers above you knew it and you knew it too.

can you gun assholes make a special thread so I can school you why AK is the fucking best!

This is like a fucking third time this shit comes up in this thread.
Fine, I'll shut up about it. I love me some AK's but getting good with it takes some dedicated work. Only enthusiasts can get to the point where they can load and rack consistently quickly. Love 'em, everyone should have them, but for people who just want functional gear that they don't have to spend a lot of time thinkin' about, simplicity is key.

Not to mention caliber confusion, I've known more than a few people who had an SD arm but totally incompatible ammo for it. M&P in .40? No problem, I've got "tons" of ammo. (A 50 rd box of .380)
\

i love shotguns too (I have that mossy actually) but they're not a great pick for an insurrection weapon. Most people won't load up on mags for the mag fed, and they just can't carry that much ammo. Live in the city and you need to leave for grandma's? Hope you have a backpack, because each mag weighs a couple pounds!

Pumps are cool and all but too many non-shooters choke and short stroke in operation. It takes a bit of methodical, non-stressed actuation to make sure you're running it right. Between tube-feeding, bumbling with rounds, grabbing them out of pockets while they're keeping their head down and unfocused, not to mention flailing to pump, it's a hard system to run. Not that difficult to figure out, but I'm used to setting people up who wanna shoot once and leave their stuff in the closet until the fever pitch comes out. Little practice is awful, but I can't force people to do dry runs. :/

I wouldn't do an AR pistol shorter than a 10-11" barrel. It's a rifle round that's meant to burn at 20". Short barrels do a number on your hearing and in a cramped apartment it feels about 40% of a flash bang. There are some muzzle devices to direct the shockwave forward, but I'd not wanna wake up at two AM, miss my earmuffs, and become permanently deaf to a degree. Not to mention losing ballistic efficacy. 10.5" is a fair length that gets pretty good performance at least.

The one I've been recommending for people is An AR for a long arm, for a pistol I'd lean towards a 9mm glock 26 (compact, can pack in wasteband) or 19 (a lil' bigger, still packable). They use all the same 9mm mags so they're plentiful and relatively cheap. You can get the longer 33 rounders so if you get a long carbine that takes them you don't have to have separate ecosystems, and you can make due with stocking up on 9mm and nothing else.

And grab a concealed carry permit, it's good intro to some of the legal stuff you need to know, there's a lot more to shooting defensively than just aiming. Lots of castle doctrine and escape efforts that you need to be aware of. I like the 26, even though it's chunky, because it's something small enough you can carry it. Everyone I know who got a full sizle pistol rarely takes it out of the house because it's too big and heavy for them to sag their pants. And if you go shopping and a flash riot breaks out, or a pervert follows you to your car you can't run home to the nightstand to grab it.
@spiritofamermaid the S&W M&P Shield line of pistols is another good option for everyday carry and is cheaper (probably a little over 300 versus 450-500) especially if you get an older gen which are perfectly great. Any gun designed for CC is going to have a bit more felt kick though because of the lower weight and smaller size making them not particularly ideal for learning on, but both the Glock 26 and M&P Shield are pretty good about this for what they are

So I just heard Fox News on the radio covering the "boogaloo" movement. Several hawian shirt wearing "boogalos" were arrested over the last week apparently.
okay next alt-right death squad bullshit group needs to have an even stupider, more childish name
Random News Chump must say "the fbi says the five have ties to the 'digzippippooproopbaadoopaploop movement', already designated a hate group by the SPLC"
