J.K. Rowling needs to stop messing with Harry Potter - A general STFU J.K. Rowling MegaThread <3

I think even Columbus and other people who worked on the films admitted they liked Hermione and made her perfect on purpose. Sadly, this met that someone had to get demoted. They choose Ron to become the butt monkey and comedy relief. Ron was the one who knew what Devils Snare was. In the film he acted like an idiot. He also defended Hermione when Snape taunted her for getting a question right. In the movie it was more like "He's right you know." In the third book he stood on a broken ankle to defend Harry from a supposed serial killer. In the movies it was Hermione. I think a lot of his hate came from people who never read the books and based their stories on the movies. I'm guessing some of the people who worked on the movies are Harmony shippers which is why they have some moments in the movies.

You're pretty much correct with all of this. This has been discussed frequently amongst Harry Potter fans (that and if Snape really was just a incel and not a grey character) and it really gave Rupert some disservice when the directors decided to have a boner for Hermione than all the other characters.

All that favoritism can mess with your head, and I'm not surprise if Emma believed it was her duty to continue playing the role of Miss Perfect.

tbf the dude was good at pulling faces like a spastic goofball and it made things that much funnier the time he sorta attempted to murder Gilderguy Secondmovie.

Jana is a well known black radfem, so I believe her on this one, even if there’s no screen cap. I wanna say Felton got caught liking Rowling’s previous tweets too.
Watson reclaimed his balls.

Its a shame right? Due to how the movies screwed Ron over in favor of "little miss Hermione", you have many fans who actively dislike Ron and the Weasly's family enough to the point of bashing them in fanfictions.

Its a bloody shame. Buy I'm glad to see that Rupert didn't let take it to heart and simple lived a peaceful life after the movies end. I think its because he wasn't so gung-ho about being am actor compared to the rest of the trio. He simply act and enjoyed the role given to him, while Emma seems to actively distance herself from the movie and try to star in a bunch of films that either tanked or did mediocre. She would do better as a lecturer for woman's rights classes but I guess that's beneath her.

Personally I think she really took her role as Hermione a bit too seriously and feels like she still needs to be this perfect, always campaigning for human rights, feminist girl that so many fans seem to believe Hermione is when that sometimes far from the truth.
Looking back, yeah they cut back on Ron's role quite a lot, while Hermione's was expanded. He practically disappeared after a while until the last movie when that kind of Lord of the Rings imitating thing with the Horcrux was added. Which might have played better if some of his key character moments from other books hadn't been removed. One of Ron's big things was always that he felt inadequate next to the awesome, rich, chosen one Harry, and the struggle to be a good friend while feeling resentful, but in the movies that hardly gets any screen time.

Didn't Watson basically reveal that pedos online wanting to fuck her while she was still very underage was a big factor in her going all preachy feminist? And if Weinstein ever did a Dan Schneider on her, that would also be a major contributing factor to her being the way she is.

It's definitely not a coincidence that the ones who seem the healthiest and least cultish are the ones who have had more distance from Hollywood in one way or another. People have already mentioned that Grint kind of distanced himself from the acting scene, only tipping his toes back in occasionally. Evanna Lynch had no professional acting experience before she got the role of Luna. She was a fangirl who auditioned and they liked her performance so much they actually hired her, which is rare, but does happen. Watson and Radcliffe meanwhile trained to be actors from a very young age.

Life in Hollywood is not good for the mental and emotional health of young people.

It's like people didn't get the message of that House-elf subplot.

DON'T CAMPAIGN ON BEHALF OF OTHERS THAT HAVEN'T ASKED FOR YOUR HELP.
That's one of the big things they hate in the books. It was mentioned as being extremely problematic, even before Rowling outed herself as a TERF.

That's the same thing I see Chris Evans do all the time on Twitter. It's weird seeing actors take on traits of their most famous roles or just outright LARP as that character to maintain some kind of relevance. It's probably worse with Emma Watson given that she grew up playing Hermione and probably internalized alot of her character traits. Makes me wonder if J.K. regrets giving Hermione her activist traits at all. Either way, it's oddly funny and cathartic to see an author have their creation manifest in the real world, only for it to turn against her.

Sorry I kinda a bit of an autistic encyclopedic knowledge of Harry Potter. Ron knew a bit more about the wizarding world because he was raised in it. Like a few have pointed out there’s knowledge Ron knew that Hermione was clueless about. Wizarding government workings, the Tales of Beetle the Bard etc.

Hermione was also written after how Rowling was in grade school: a bookish know it all. Emma is 100% Rowling’s creation gone mad.

This sounds like a mantra at this point: "transwomenarewomentranswomenarewomentranswomenarewomen". Do they even know what that means?

"The mammal who's been born with the organs to impregnate not be impregnated is the one that can be impregnated if that's what they want to feel."

It's as saying "a cat is really a dog."

Also, fuck gingers.

Lol, you thought Rupert Grint might be #based? You were wrong!

It was more of a hope than anything really. Sounds like they're making the rounds and applying the pressure to everyone to recant.

These are the same people who think McCarthyism was the most horrible thing ever.

This sounds like a mantra at this point: "transwomenarewomentranswomenarewomentranswomenarewomen". Do they even know what that means?

A mantra is exactly what it is and all it's ever been. A quick, low effort, catchy but nonsensical soundbite for the purpose of thoughtkilling.

its optimistic to think the actors, even the quieter ones, wouldn't come out spewing the "I'm on your side SJW's!" mantra. We don't know what they actually think, and a lot of the time (especially for those in the public eye) its easier to just throw a blanket statement of love and equality and move on. I don't hold it against any of them personally for not growing balls, they just make JKR look more based for going outside the accepted narrative.

Watson however does annoy me because she acts like a goddamn spokesperson for the broken, shes a bad imitation of her character with no personality outside of that and her acting is annoying. But even so in this event it makes sense, troons hate women and she'd be ripped apart harder than her male costars if she stayed quiet.

To be fair, given the behaviour of SJWs and TRAs and their ability to 'cancel' people, anyone associated with Harry Potter has had to say something or they'll be accused of being responsible for the deaths of millions of trans kids who will all be murdered or commit suicide. In particular, once Radcliffe and Watson spoke out, Grint had to. If I was in the Harry Potter films I'd be on the phone to my manager now, "Yeah, yeah, trans women are women, trans men are men, yada yada, just release a statement so that I can get work again, okay?"

Oh well, it was a shot hoping Rupert wouldn't say anything.

I do wonder what's going to happen next? Would people stop going to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Disney? Ban the books from the library, or burn their own copies? Tell their future kids, J.K is a terf and never read them her books for bedtime?

Or...everything remains more or less the same. This will pass, people will find someone new to hate on, and J.K. still continues to make more money than most people will ever make in her sleep.

G.G.
