Trump Derangement Syndrome - Orange man bad. Read the OP! (ᴛʜɪs ᴛʜʀᴇᴀᴅ ɪs ʟɪᴋᴇ ᴋɪᴡɪ ғᴀʀᴍs ʀᴇᴠɪᴇᴡs ɴᴏᴡ) 🗿🗿🗿🗿

So remember when someone mentioned chipping away culture and history via attacking the weakest parts? Guess what: A statue dedicated to Caesar Rodney, a Founding Father, was taken down in Wilmington. (Archive here)

Legit called it whoever said that.
I'd like to give them the benefit of the doubt on this one, it seems like a prominent landmark and letting it get potentially mutilated by a mob of exceptionalites as a sacrifice to the Woke Gods would be far more unfortunate than just hiding it away until the Feast of St. Floyd is over.

I don't like the Confederates. But they were Americans, goddammit. And I will defend them insofar as they have a right to be remembered and considered. That doesn't mean approval and that doesn't mean agreement. But Americans, good, bad, and misguided deserve to be remembered for their contributions to our betterment over time.

To erase them is the ultimate sin.

I respect the Confederate cause more and more as time goes on.

The question the civil war was answering was "Can a slim majority of states subject the slight minority to economic ruin"? The answered end up being yes. The Confederacy wanted the doing away with the Federal government because more Abolition states were coming into the union, and it looked like there wouldn't be any places where labor-intensive cash crop agriculture could be widely practiced would be added to the Union.

Given that Mississippi is last place in almost every economic metric, and Georgia/Lousiana/Alabama are still below average, they weren't wrong.

The confederates also fought like hell, but also fought with as much honor as they could muster. No civilian reprisals like you saw from the Union, just generally good ol' tactical superiority.

But that's why these guys have statues. Not because they fought the Feds or hated blacks or w/e. They fought FOR their state.

At the risk of my street cred as permabanned user niggerstomper58, I posit this:
Now, there IS a problem. Which is a lot of the statues ARE explicitly racist, as a good number of the monuments weren't erected until the 1950s and 60s and were put up (by democrats) as a direct reaction to the Civil Rights movement.

Its my believe that anything pre-1934 should be given a blanket pass. The monuments were before any civil rights movement and are clearly a region's historial markers.
Anything post 1968 needs to go.
Anything in the intervening years should be reviewed

Also the Cherokee backed the confederacy 100%. I'm looking forward to discussions on how they are racist.
because they are. SUPER racist.

Promising new TDS post on r/moderatepolitcs titled Lets Gather Everything That is Unambiguously Awful About Trump, From Primary Sources, Not Just Leftwing Media. I Want to Start De-normalizing His Boiling Frog Bullshit. No comments yet since it's only been up less than 20 minutes but I see real potential for some premium TDS.

Imagine being so arrogant that you think you will personally "De-normalize" Trump. And also that you think anyone gives a shit what you think is normal.

Here's the text below.
Slowly boil the frog, and the frog doesn't notice the change, really, from degree to degree. The next degree is just a little more uncomfortable than the last. That's how we got to this year, 2020.

I think the leftwing media has done a good job of making a smoke screen around Donald Trump by focusing on these little tiny things that don't matter mixed in with the absolutely atrocious things he does, and this has just strengthened Trump's position.

So, I want to dig up all of the bullshit that he's ever said, and put to bed the idea that Donald Trump somehow represents anything that is normal, decent or rational.

1) "Grab em by the pussy." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fSyPDNSK7lc

Had to link Fox, on purpose.

2) "I like people who weren't captured." Donald Trump on John McCain. https://www.politico.com/story/2015/07/trump-attacks-mccain-i-like-people-who-werent-captured-120317

Remember when all of those Republicans denounced this comment as an attack, and treated as though it was absolutely terrible, but Trump never once walked back or apologized for it. Absolutely disgusting, especially disgusting if you consider yourself conservative, placing emphasis on the values of honor and sacrifice, while Trump dodged the draft as well as he could.

I get nostalgic looking back at those days, when such a comment would be met with genuine criticism from conservatives. But no such luck these days, not you've got Mitt Romney being brave to stand up to the guy.

Of course, he gets his political career destroyed over doing what he thinks is right, but that's the world we live in now.

3) Firing of James Comey, a Republican, simply because he was investigating Donald Trump, per his duties. Absolutely disgusting display of power abuse.

4) His tendency to gloat and spin bullshit because it's his bad habit.

I can't stand this guy much more. He's so bad. He's tainted and corrupted the minds of so many people. It makes me so sick to my stomach that I don't even know how to deal with it. The only way I could ever deal with it initially is because I used to be a hell of a lot more jaded and nihilistic, and I was actually just kind of numb to it all. But I've since grown, and I just don't know what to do.

I feel as though I've become jaded to the core with this guy in office, and seeing so many supposedly normal people just blindly supporting this man. I can't do it, I'm so tired of pretending he's normal.

https://twitter.com/hashtag/GaysForTrump Is quite the shitshow right now. Leftists and democrats letting their mask slip again, attacking any gay that dares form their own opinion and isn't part of the farm animals in their fences area. Some people going as far as comparing it to slavery and Hitler, or they're bots from RUSSIA.

Here's a furry telling you can't be conservative if you're gay because it "simply doesn't work." Which before he does, makes sure to attack any gay that doesn't share the same beliefs.

Can't even follow through on this own post.

In case Dear Leader nukes this thread on July 1st, I just wanna say that it was fun chatting and posting with you guys. Y'all are some of the most well-spoken and insightful users on the farms IMO.
Why would he? Did I miss something?

Why July 1?

Edit: Null is coming back from his break then.
Why would he? Did I miss something?
Null recently said he hates how politicized the site has become and that on July 1st he plans on making changes, so I take that he's most likely planning on shutting down the politics-based areas of the forums such as this thread, the TES thread and A&N.

That's a strong assumption based on weak shit. "Planning on making changes" could mean anything, really.
