Oh God, if they do a bunch of live action shows on Disney+, its just going to turn into Marvel Netflix or CW DC universe.
Starts off good. I liked Daredevil. I liked Arrow and Flash originally.
But then you pile on show after show after show after show, and it just over-saturates things and becomes too much to follow. Punisher, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and that piece of shit Iron Fist all became too much to follow, and then throw the crossover show Defenders on top of that, and its even more. CW, same thing. Arrow and Flash...ok fine. They we get Legends of Tomorrow, then Supergirl gets added, then I believe Constantine got added to the mix, and then Batwoman, and you have to watch all the shows to understand all the big crisis crossovers. And things got so cluttered that the original shows that were good, Arrow and Flash, took nose dives in quality as a result.
And here we go again. We get Mandalorian, which is pretty much almost universally praised. Well, NOW WE GOTTA DO MOAR!!!! We need an Ahsoka show, and a Thrawn show, and this that and the other! Can't follow it all! Well fuck you!
And this will have crossovers, and longer and longer seasons and so much bullshit that it'll just become a mess as one crew tries to manage it all.
Here's an idea. Why not just finish one show (lets say give Mando a season 2 with an ending) and then start the new project, and the make a new one when that one has run its course.
Star Trek kind of got it right. At most, they had two shows going concurrently, and wouldn't start the new one until one had wrapped up. They started DS9 towards the end of TNG's run. Then when TNG wrapped up, they did Voyager. Then when DS9 wrapped up, then they kicked off Enterprise. They never got to a point where they were trying to manage 4 or 5 shows at once.
