Mike Judge and Comedy Central are "reimagining" Beavis and Butt-Head for Gen Z

Shock value is rather easy to achieve in today's age. A certain word starting with n and rhyming with trigger does it well enough.
You could easily get a cartoon's worth of somebody trying to set them up to say a serious gamer word and going increasingly crazy as the two just keep saying their usual stupid insults.

Can we have a King of the Hill special about Bobby and his friends being adults instead? At least that has the potential to be something. Enough with Bevis and Butthead already just let it go.

From what I can recall, Mike Judge said that if they were ever to make a King of the Hill "reboot," it would actually be a sequel to the main series; Bobby would be in college, etc.

Someone at CartoonBrew was very ticked off about this news, and you can feel the seething.

Goddamn, and I thought him regretting not getting a Vietnamese person to voice Diane was stupid. This guy’s not just a cuck, he’s a super-cuck.
Hilariously, some of his comments almost make it sound like one of his biggest regrets was not making the character more of a stereotype. And we all know that if he had cast an Asian actress and did more on the show to address the character’s heritage, the mob would just go after him for appropriating another culture’s history or some bullshit.

What young creators, Comedy Central has not exactly had any new animated series on in awhile. They're so desperate for animation they had to start airing reruns of Bojack Horseman and their last new animated series aired it's entire run from January to March 3 years ago. When whoever posted this for Cartoon Brew says "young creators" they mean the same loosely affiliated gaggle of 'literally who' Netflix alumni who have an idea for a great new show that's essentially an animated sitcom about animal-headed millennial characters trying to figure out how to make it in this crazy world what with how "adulting is hard!"

The revival season in 2010 had them heckling reality shows from MTV to avoid music rights bullshit, and was arguably funnier than the music videos were.

The 2011 revival had potential tbh, but i've heard that they cancelled it because MTV didn't liked Beavis and Butthead making fun of their reality shows, was it true?

Why are people concerned about Judge going woke? A lot of think pieces were written about Silicon Valley not being diverse enough and Judge’s response was basically “have you seen the people who work for these companies?”
Not to mention Tales from the Tour Bus. The George Clinton episode alone shows Judge isn’t afraid of being politically incorrect.
