So did you finally watch the movie or did you just read about it on tvtropes like usual?Basically, it's a spiritual successor to Juno, using the film's uncertain ending as a jump-off point and exploring the consequences of such a situation.

Hey guys,
My semester is drawing to a close, and the final is next week. After that, I'll see if I can get back to writing, mainly short stories. I'm putting Alphaboy on hold, because a fascinating idea for a novel came to mind lately. I've been brainstorming.
*prays, takes a deep breath*
I've been feeling a little philosophical lately, a little introspective. Listening to Pink Floyd's The Wall can do that. I feel I need to get more darkness out of me before I churn out Alphaboy. Basically, it's a spiritual successor to Juno, using the film's uncertain ending as a jump-off point and exploring the consequences of such a situation.
.....Didn't we have this whole discussion like a year ago?I hate to say this, but I can't bring myself to watch Juno in its entirety, largely because of the implications that its ending raises. It seems to be saying that giving a child up for adoption is painless and devoid of consequence, even if said child is going to grow up with a single mom that won't have much time for him. That's what pisses me off.
Yeah, but it keeps me up at night, to be honest. Is human life really that expendable?.....Didn't we have this whole discussion like a year ago?

It's just a MOVIE! God Damn!Yeah, but it keeps me up at night, to be honest. Is human life really that expendable?

You could ask the same thing about the abortion Juno would have had without adoption as an alternative, but no, you're right. Keep sperging about how adoption is evil.Yeah, but it keeps me up at night, to be honest. Is human life really that expendable?
I don't know why it is that you're so obsessed with adoption being terrible, but it keeps coming up. The kid is going to live with a family that can take care of them and wants to take care of them. The kid's biological parents can't provide that, and they're not somehow automatically more qualified just because they're related biologically.Yeah, but it keeps me up at night, to be honest. Is human life really that expendable?
But the baby was given up for adoption, not thrown in a dumpster. How is that "expendable" when the baby was given to someone who will take care of him?Yeah, but it keeps me up at night, to be honest. Is human life really that expendable?

The woman, from what I gather, has a job that will prevent her from spending much time with said child. But the baby was given up for adoption, not thrown in a dumpster. How is that "expendable" when the baby was given to someone who will take care of him?

Connor, everyone I have ever known from single-parent households was way less fucked up than you are.The woman, from what I gather, has a job that will prevent her from spending much time with said child.
