I wouldn't say DSP got away with it, and Alex is known for oversharing his horny takes with his viewers (simping for Samus hard, the titty slidder, etc...)
Really? You compare Alex talking about tits to busting a nut in front of camera? Keep in mind that getting a permanent ban on Twitch takes absolutely nothing, especially if you aren't top streamer (scratch that, see Doctor Disrespect), e-thot (though you can't push your luck forever, see Alinity) or a tranny (see Cosmo). Also, this happened when SoK were still a thing and Phil hate train was at full force, people reported his slightest slips all the time and the fucker still got away with it, like he got away later with talking about hitting a child.

If he continues "developing" his game until, say, 2024, I bet my left kidney it'll turn into a twisted diary of his porn-riddled, incompetent life that devolves into a series of shallow jabs at people he doesn't like and mental breakdowns, or he quits game design and is exposed for committing some form of sexual atrocity a year later.

What hentai does to a man...
Yandere Simulator will never, ever, EVER release. Eva is completely unable to be a game developer in any capacity.

In all honesty, Alex makes a few good points in that post. Most of the environmental models and animations in Lovesick were specially created for Yandere Simulator. Anyone could rip those assets out of the game and use them. The code in the game is readily available, and even if it's fucking horrible, it can be used as a reference for scripts. With that in mind, it wouldn't necessarily be difficult to implement all features that were in the Lovesick release video.

Now, the developer himself admitted that it would take another year to complete the demo ALONE, despite the fact that everything in the trailer took "two weeks". That kind of leads me to believe that the stuff in the trailer was mostly easily-implemented "low-hanging fruit" rather than any substantial features.

Most developers probably would've waited until their project was more complete to announce it to the public - after all, YS clones projects are famous for shutting down within months. However, I think that Lovesick's dev saw an opportunity to capitalize on the "hate wave" that was happening when Alex's emails were hacked, and decided to announce the project immediately instead of waiting until he was closer to the finish line.

As fun as it would be to imagine that someone could actually improve Yandere Simulator, this all just seems like another dismotivated hatemonger trying to get some quick Internet clout by plagiarizing an already shitty game.
Pretty much this. Besides I've seen too many Yandere Simulator clones which were made for the sake of proving they would do better than the original game ended up felling off due to IRL issues or just disappearing, so I'm still gonna be cautious about this Lovesick game, but I bet 99.9% it's just gonna fell off and be done.

Even so, I still don't get why Alex is raging hard about it and even got Cleveland to copyright strike the trailer. You would think even after so many of these clones Alex would still get the hint to actually not give a shit. I like only when it comes to "Lovesick" rather than "Watashi no Mono" or "The New Yandere Dev" whatever that is, Alex has to make a FAQ about it.

Rest are bullshit though like violating the law or how Yandere Simulator's assets from the Unity Asset Store are less than 1%.

I say just a thread would be good enough. I could see a subforum working like threads for each update, threads for the autistic moderators in the Yandere Simulator community, but I don't quite see it happening especially with the hacking being given a negative outlook for Kiwis unfamiliar with Yandere Simulator drama.

Maybe community watch thread about Yandere Simulator community, because his fans, haters and authors of "Yandere Simulator only good" are equally autistic.

I Wonder how Alex will solve the problem with the social part of the game, make the characters feels alive and real individuals. Write a long paragraph of description/bio doesn't count. The actual game design of the project is really bad.
Making multiple characters feel alive.
In a game that is all about killing a single target.
Makes perfect sense.
That's why the whole game idea is fucked.
There's a reason why he's labeled a cultcow.
Cultcows are lolcows who are discussed obsessively by KF users who don't discuss anyone else.
In other words, we are the cult.

Cultcows are a very specific type of lolcow whose thread and drama is completely impenetrable to new users. This is usually because it has devolved to a closed group of people way, way too intimately involved in that person's life.

If he actually signs a deal with 505 they might drag it across the finish line by brute force.
How? TinyBuild gave him coder, who could make his code tolerable, and that's exactly why he terminated their partnership.
If they hire somebody to make this game instead of him, he's gonna leave, if they won't and he ever finishes this game according to his definition of "finished", it is gonna be laggy, incopetentely made and devoid of all fun shitty game. They can't win here, unless they push Alex into breach of contract and then sue his ass for damages.

Look, I said "might"
If they're savvy enough to lock him into an ironclad contract (being aware that they're dealing with a known backstabbing rules-lawyer) they might be able to tell him to sit down, shut up, and let the pros handle it. Might.

I doubt there is even any financial incentive to sue him. He still lives at home and is barely scraping together 1.5k/month on Patreon so I highly doubt he has more than 10k in the bank altogether. So unless you want to sue him for his two switches you are probably better off just cutting your losses. His "idea" / "copyright" isn't really worth shit either. If an actual developer or game studio wanted to capitalize on the premise on the game they could do so easily as the idea of "anime hitman" isn't exactly something you can copyright (see love sick).

(310) 365-4023 - Alex's cell phone.

Area code is within address
last three digits are same as mail.com's phone verification
"365" is given only to LA, where he lives.
If you go to google, under forgot email, you can put the number in, then "Yandere Dev" as first and last name, confirming it is his number.
The person that comes up when you reverse search the number isn't the current owner, but an older one.
He lives in Temecula which is in the 951 area code moron.

You are new to all this stuff, aren't you? He receives 1500 now, three years ago it was 5000 a month. Add to this his Twitch channel, where people donate subscribers and tips to him. Add to this his YouTube channel with millions of views. Add to this that he also sells merch. Add to this "donate" button from his website. Add to this his failed deal with TinyBuild and other developers, who got that bitch from stolen assets into their hentai, though I'm not sure he got paid for this. Then keep in mind, that people who do stuff for him are called volunteers, because they work for fuck all exposure. Then piece toghether the latter: he asked his viewers if he should buy a Real Doll, he bought a Switch just to have another island in Animal Crossing and his original offer for subreddit was 10 000. He is a NEET who eats garbage and dresses like a bum and lives with his parents, so his expenses are laughable. I'm not saying he is millionare, but he is far from being poor, that's for sure.

While I do appreciate you piecing everything together in such a presentable manner you have to remember we are talking about the guy who thought it would be a good financial use of $3000 to buy a subreddit because no one wanted to use the one he made. According to twitchtracker he averages under 100 viewers despite streaming nearly everyday for 3-4 hours so I highly doubt he makes any significant money from twitch(or he would probably already have cancelled yandere simulator to stream fulltime). You are probably right though, considering his non-existent expenses he probably does have around 50k in the bank, still not the kind of money that is worth going through all the time and legal expences of a lawsuit

You know, with Tinybuild he had an actual chance to release this thing, but he can only think in the short term. The short term being having to pause regular development AKA meme additions in order to familiarize himself with the new code. Long term, it would be insanely beneficial to the game and decrease development time.
The story of Yandere Simulator should be taught in game development classes.

People keep bringing the 3000$ from the subreddit... Yes, that was extremely dumb, and one time only. Potential hundreds of thousands of dollars don't go away because he bought a fucking subreddit. Some of you seem to be doing this bullshit on purpose. We don't know how much money he has... But unless he literally burns it he has WAY more than what you think he does.
