That LP was so awful that by the end I was actively rooting against them. At multiple points they did everything that RP rightfully ridicules in their own videos and to cap it all off the audio and video are stuck in 2008 quality run through generations of video compression. It's pretty autistic to blather on about some ancient LP but Sonic 06 and especially pokecapn's romp has taken on almost mythical proportions in the LP orthodoxy when their LP is just really mediocre, and I wish someone had been around to tell me that. The only thing it has going for it is the gimmick of a long game in a single sitting and that's just not novel anymore.

E: And except for the last few episodes I thought the whole thing was pretty light on rage.

Aside from standards for LP being lower in 2008, I think the reason pokecapn's Sonic 06 LP is considered evergreen is because it's exactly the level of quality that Sonic 06 deserves and the kind of experience that fits it like a glove: A group of friends holed up in front of a TV trying to beat a horrible game in one sitting before they burn out. You don't need rigorous completionism, skilled gameplay or HD video to appreciate Sonic 06 because there's nothing to appreciate, and their struggle and ineptitude adds to it because there's nothing to take away. It's one of the very few non-completionist LPs I've ever liked for these reasons.

It's also worth adding that they did five other Sonic LPs in the years following 06 and none of them were as popular, which illustrates how many things lined up by chance to make it work.

It was indeed the perfect format for a great LP, but that just made it all the more disappointing when instead of an easy slam dunk the result was a personal foul and sprained ankle. And if you say your crew's going to marathon a game everyone leaving or falling asleep should be an automatic disqualification 'cause that's the weakest shit ever.

Maybe she called someone a nigger in one of them and they want to erase history and pretend that they were always puritanical strasserists or something and not dorks who mocked bad let's plays and the people who made them.

Chip has always been a super empathetic person who cries at Thomas the Tank Engine. He's always been that way. A sweet boy like that would never make fun of anyone. Have any video evidence that proves otherwise? Didn't think so.

I mentioned this earlier in the thread but she says "nigga" in the first minute of a MGS1 video so guess that's gotta go too. Just delete the whole channel if you're so worried, Chip, nuke all your content from orbit, it's the only way to be sure.

Man I was always hopeful that the ones off blip would get reuploaded somewhere someday becasue Chip once said he still had them all, but instead he bitches out and pretends he never did even more of them.

I should've seen it coming. The most ridiculous and 2edgy parts of MGS5 were handled so poorly by him and Ironicus that they don't even sound like the same people as the ones who covered 2, 3 and 4. Instead of jabbing at Kojima over a character dying via vagina bomb we get honest-to-God trigger warnings and tut-tutting over the fact that a naughty fictional man does naughty fictional things to other, fictional characters. The juxtaposition of something that jarring occurring in the same source material as being able to wear a rubber chicken on your head and run around like you're invisible is a fucking slamdunk and they don't even go for a lazy layup. Pathetic.
