Literally all they had to say was 'there should be more black creators in video games' and I'd concede because I can only name industry figures who are white or Japanese. Acting like the entire industry is just white people or aimed at white people is disingenuous and just plain wrong.

Apparently someone on the dev team got into some controversy surrounding a commission.
The full story of what happened was that people found out that around three years ago Nasr had took money from someone who commissioned them without giving them said product, then Nasr responded by saying that they finished the product, but didn't give said product to the person who payed for it because said person followed people who posted porn of aged up fictional minors, which bothered them as a minor, plus they have a no refund policy so keeping the money is justified. Nasr refunds the money because they got called out, then privates their account like a coward.
Their "response" made no sense.
Why didn't Nasr look at the person's profile in the first place if they're that concerned about what people post and who people follow online? Why didn't Nasr just cancel the commission all together? if they don't want to do business with someone who makes them uncomfortable then they should have just given back the money like a normal person would. No refunds only applies to situations where the customer has already received their product.
This is like if you went into a sandwich place, ordered a sandwich, gave them 10 bucks, then got told to fuck off because you looked at them the wrong way. They don't give you your sandwich, and they took your ten bucks. Who would trust a place like that? No one.
On another note, here's some stuff I found from various twitter threads and while sifting through the latest tweets regarding ValiDate.

Jokes aside, I'm pretty sure not everyone on the team is a POC, like the dev claims. Some of these bitches be pasty af.
Also, We all know the reason they have 1 programmer is because they're using RenPy. You don't need much talent for that.
I've never seen such a large dev team for a game so... shitty. They have so many artists who can't keep a consistent art style between each other. It's almost like you're looking at a VN for the Amazing World of Gumball or something like that.
This is a gold mine, God bless. I'm not surprised more members of the team are getting involved in drama like this. If someone paid you for something, it's theirs to use whenever and however they want so long as credit is provided, or they agreed to the terms before payment. It's obvious the drawing was never received since they're avoiding questions that ask them directly about this.

They're probably just Light-skinned/mixed , but seeing as how some of team is already being accused of lying, it wouldn't surprise me if some of them were lying about being POC as well, it wouldn't be the first time someone's done that.

I'm just giving them a hard time, but I do feel the same. There's a lot of liers in there. I was also wondering if they would really turn away someone who wants to help them just because they're white. I've come to the conclusion that yes, they would.
"Trans lesbian" makes absolutely no sense to begin with, but this idea alone makes the character sound more interesting. They'd still be a shit character, but a slightly more realistic one.

Asking these POC game developers to know the keyboard shortcuts for an em dash or just paste one in is literal emotional labour and invalidates their struggle.
