Stalked the thread for two days and now finished it. Holy shit, it was amusing af. In particular @WinchesterPremium s playthrough descriptions.
But when I came across those chibis I instantly recognized the art style but couldn't put my finger on from where. Then I saw Chumi and it clicked. I can assure you she drew those chibis because I follow her on Tumblr for years.

18K for woke shit is nothing, if the Tingler from Zoe Quinn is any indicator. Shit, people will fund it and then not even care if the finished game ships or not since the demo exists!

I wish someone hated this game enough to do an EvaXephon and make a parody of it before ValiDate actually gets finished and comes out. It could be a dating sim where 8 game devs try to make the most woke piece of shit game ever known, but inbetween doing nothing at each dev's workstation at home they sex-pest each other and try to dox detractors online. Instead of a sexy payoff, you try to get into the most cringe situations possible, or get found out that you've creeped on kids or violated various financial laws scamfunding the shitheap and you get part of the team arrested or blacklisted from the internet in general.

Depends on how it's being done. If you go the Katawa Shoujo way of each route has 1 writer, I'd say 1×# of paths + 1 to edit/check all paths. Otherwise, maybe 2/4 writers overall to maintain a consistent trajectory across the whole thing.

Figures. No wonder they’re putting most of their profit in “merchandise” than any actual developmental process of the game. They’re really betting on people buying shit like pins and plushies? Just why? They would be 1000% better off just to use the chibi stuff so that the other sjws won't throw up.

Just use the silly anime avatars they made for themselves and the game is hugely improved, why make your characters as repulsive as possible? Is their target audience eldritch abominations?

They wanted to have a game where every single character was designed and written by a different person, and due to the lack of a head artist, it ended up being a unorganized mash of tumblr art styles.
