Posts on Facebook from people claiming to be familiar with the man said that his name is Isaiah Jackson and that he has been arrested in Ohio.
The man in the photograph does appear to be Jackson, based on his Facebook profile, but we have not been able to verify other allegations against him. An Isaiah Jackson was arrested on July 20 in Ohio for a probation violation.
WHIO TV 7 reports that “investigators in Clark County said they are investigating the post, however no arrests have been made and charges have not been filed.” Their report said that according to emergency scanner traffic, deputies, police, and medics were called to two different addresses Tuesday morning in Clark County as a part of the investigation.

“We are looking into this case, however it is still an active investigation. At this point we are actively looking into it and we are VERY early on into this investigation,” Maj. Chris Clark said in an emailed statement to the station."

This is the point when the Extinction Rebellion movement basically fell apart. You've got very privileged protestors screwing the commute of a much less privileged, and much more diverse, crowd.

Unfortunately in the US, the Democrats have made it pretty clear that anyone who stands up to the rioters will get prosecuted while the rioters will not.

They were lucky not to receive a few sharp blows from the crowd for that stunt but the worst part for XR was actually the interview after that debacle where one of the protestors said they deliberately picked early morning when people were on their way to work rather at the end of the day when people would be on their way home to their families. These people were SO disconnected from ordinary working class life that they thought people would be more sympathetic because they made these people late. They don't know what a three-strike warning is. They don't know what getting paid by the hour is. They don't know what other people having to pick up the slack because someone didn't make it in, is. They don't know what actually wanting to get your job done is. They thought they were saving people from a few hours of wage-slavery.

Sometimes it's "look good and follow orders". Which city was it recently where the mayor refused to allow them to wear riot gear because it would be "provoking" so the officers had to stand out there getting bottles thrown at their heads and facing violent abuse without proper protective gear? It'd be good optics. The Trump admin "fucked up" in February (in quotes because largely much of what was recommended was overboard and unnecessary, except in the shithole of NYC), but it's been doing fine on coof since. He's been a really bad diplomat of the fact that he's kept states and hospitals stocked up and supply lines flowing well, because he got bogged down into dumb shit like the mask debacle - if he'd just go on a tour like that, bang, great optics that the media would have real difficulty spinning.

He should mix it up, though. Go around touring places that're stocked on coof, then go around and tour with local police departments. It might genuinely boost their morale, but it'd also go to show that folks who stand up for the cops aren't going to be utterly abandoned. I'm someone who wants police reform, but not abolition or defunding - feels like right now, though, you can't walk that line without getting guillotined by everyone. If Trump started touring, he'd move his party to follow along and take similar stances -- and he would lock in the wave of goodwill once people get even more sick of the rioting, or once they see a place that is abandoned by its police force, as a president that took a clear and obvious stance and expressed it in a meaningful way.
