"Getting the gang back together" sounds less exciting when one of the main players keeps wanting to rewrite the shows to mention fascism more.

That would be alright I guess, though I honestly wouldn’t watch it. I would love for them to revive TechTV instead. I was never big on AotS but I loved watching Screensavers as a kid. Diggnation with Kevin Rose + Albrecht and Twit with Laporte & Sarah Lane kind of managed to occupy a similar niche for a while, but Diggnation died with Digg.com and I don’t know if twit even exists anymore. Rev3 probably still exists, but afaik they were sold to Discovery or something. I guess tech youtubers provide the same type of content as a modern Screensavers, so this is probably just lolstalgia speaking here.

Sessler is the quintessential drumpf-obsessed, coked out former television guy. He’s been posting braindead opinions on social media for so long now that I barely even think of him as the xplay guy at this point. It’s as if kvetching about l’evil orange man is his full time job now

sources: G4TV is making a come back from Comcast who still own the property, led by Spectacor Gaming President Tucker Roberts who oversees Comcast's esports orgs T1, T1 LoL, and the Philadelphia Fusion OWL team. Tucker is also the son of Comcast CEO Brian Roberts.
The return of G4 will be based and focused on the web, not TV (as should be obvious but you know)

I have a feeling we won't see much of Sessler or Webb. This sounds nothing like the old G4TV crew.

I think they might be able to bring back Morgan Webb and she's probably the one member of the G4 crew who's most likely to come back and be part of the reboot if the price is right. Adam Sessler is too unstable and while I can see him being desperate enough to do the job for the coke money, he will undoubtedly blow it and be fired. He's probably not even going to be given an offer to begin with.

Olivia Munn is never coming back to G4. She may have been a proto-"Gamer Girl" but she was also up front about not being a gamer and using G4 as a stepping stone to show business but she never used gaming as a political soapbox like Anita Sarkeesian did and AFAIK, Munn hasn't gone and actively disparaged gamers publicly and constantly (correct me if I'm wrong on that)

I dunno, I get the feeling Morgan Webb is more apolitical than anything and really does just want to play video games. If she has said anything woke, it's probably some corporate PR thing.

Morgan Webb has been keeping a low profile because she's too invested in her hobby and the video gaming industry and doesn't seem like a clout chaser, at least not to the same degree as Adam Sessler or the typical social media talking heads

I don't give a shit what he does on Twitter. Twitter is for people to act like idiots and embarrass themselves. It doesn't matter at all in any capacity.

What I'm worried about is that he'll do something monumentally stupid that can't be ignored, like make Zoe Quinn his co-host or something else abysmal and make the X-Play revival unwatchable.

For right now, though, I'm not thinking in terms of a bitter little man playing power games. I'm thinking of the emotionally vulnerable, mentally disturbed boomer who was part of my childhood and genuinely has severe mental health issues and suicidal ideation finding some kind of peace and purpose in his life.

I'm genuinely surprised Leo Laporte doesn't have a lolcow thread, or at least one I'm aware of. He's so hated someone created a website all about how poorly he runs things. Off the top of my head, he has exposed nude images of himself and his latest wife multiple times while on the air, years ago he sperged out and banned John Dvorak from TWiT because he wasn't being uncritically woke enough on the (if I recall correctly) Covington kids issue, and he hired and then lost a ton of people from TechTV because, allegedly, they couldn't deal with him anymore.

I dropped TWiT years ago when all the good co-hosts were either fired, quit, or died. I love Steve Gibson, but I don't end know what the "network" has at this point aside from Security Now. I can't imagine actually listening to Leo tard out over current year politics.

Kind makes you wonder if his whole raging feminist schtick is just because he's another fetishist who wants to sub and get pegged and whipped. I don't have a problem if that's what you're into, just be honest about it, don't frame your whole political ideology around it and try to push it on everyone else under the guise of moral superiority.
