One thing I've always admired about the Japanese is that it seems like they learn from their mistakes far more rapidly than most westerners do. I wish I still had it saved, but I remember when some polling was done in Japan and the responders were split about 50/50 on whether Japan should accept Mideast immigrants. After a large amount of pressure from the UN, the Japanese congress (Diet) approved for a paltry amount of immigrants to come into the country. It was only like a month after they arrived before a group of them had raped, and murdered a young Japanese girl in a public bathroom. The government halted all Mideast immigration, and polling after the incident showed about a 80/20 public stance against more immigration.

1. They were over capacity for corona restrictions and had to close. Then.
2. The children said that the machines weren't working. They wouldn't allow the workers to check the machines. They demanded refunds then and there, for the machines. It's often not even in the wheelhouse of the venue to do that.
3. Why did they get dropped off en masse? Like a flash mob?
4. Why did the parents (supposedly) describe the centre as the "New Daycare Putt Putt" prior to the flash mob drop off of 300+ teens?
5. Why did they have fireworks on hand?
6. If this were over "refunds", does that give them the right to behave like this? This is pure anti-socialist behaviour.

You still cannot allow people to behave like this. This isn't productive for society, in any shape or form.
All you have to do is look at the Mike Brown? riots and what the mayor or whomever said - "They need space to destroy, we'll give them that space".

It should never be encouraged. This is in tandem to the ideal from the left that property isn't worth defending. That underminds the stability of society. It's not just some niglets destroying a family run business in Memphis - it's their ideology that nothing but their wants and needs matter, to hell with everyone else.

I think I miscommunicated my thoughts, even if both sides are in the wrong (which may not be the case), I would not endorse the rioting or the destruction that took place, what should have been (had the story be true about broken machines) either a small claims court case or just eating the loss and not going back, turned in to violence. Both sides can be in the wrong, but one side is clearly more in the wrong, and should be punished to the full extent of the law.

I believe they stopped using gas partially because Hitler was traumatized by it.

And the other reason is, as you find out in Battlefield 1, it kills you as well if the wind blows the other way. A very unreliable form of warfare past the initial shock as gas masks stopped it being effective.

And the battle lines changed faster in World War 2 compared to World War 1's trench warfare. Useless to deploy gas when the enemy is very mobile and very prepared for the gas.

Or in the Soviet Union's case, willing to use RAW BRUTE FORCE to break the enemy.

Majority of deaths in WW1 were by artillery and yet artillery was used in both wars and then we got the introduction of carpet bombings. Which the allies learned from the Nazis and used it to great effect to destroy the morale of the German people in revenge for the V2 rocket blitz bombings.

Imagine if Marissa Shen had gotten the same amount of press coverage as that photo of the drowned Syrian kid who inspired Trudeau's boneheaded refugee policy.

A few things about why that article is complete trash. Let me link to the actual CSIS report, because NBC doesn't actually want you to read it.

First of the fact that the report doesn't list the current riots isn't surprising since it was published on June 17.

Second, while it mainly notes right wing terrorist attacks, it does discuss left wing terror groups, including Antifa. The NBC article does not discuss this at all.

Third, I thought this conclusion in the report was interesting. Once again, NBC doesn't mention it.
