I'm going to file this under "more proof Alex never grew up."

I've always thought of being publicly edgy about your weird porn habits as more a teenager activity. When you're a teen, hitting puberty, and first get access to porn, it's SUPER exciting and funny to be a perv with your friends, But by the time you're in your early 20s, this should definitely die down. Talking about how you'd fuck 50 hotties and sharing your latest strange fetish porn game is just bizarre and TMI when you're an adult.

Also talking about what gets your dick hard=/=essential to being a lewd game designer. Now, I'm genuinely unsure because I don't do hentai games, but isn't it normal that lewd/sex game designers still have a life outside of their porn fetishes? I say that because it really creeps me out how Alex has invested his whole universe into not just yansim, but also he's a grown man who still hasn't got a life outside his lewd/porn habits. Even CDProjektRed is designing a sex game and there is still an obvious professional air about it, because the obviously have lives OUTSIDE their game.

Alex's pervieness is gross but, being a sad man isn't a crime. But it's clear to me now that Alex's life has absolutely no balance. When you coom all day and still don't have a GF because you're either fighting with trolls or fucking your sex doll, there's obviously mental problems from not moving past the awkward teen years. His obsession with blaming his appearance for not having a GF points to this.
(Possible powerlevel?) The funny thing is that, as someone who's done nsfw art a couple times for commissions, most people don't even really get turned on by their work because they're worrying about making it presentable. The fact that the game looks shit but Alex probably still manages to coom makes it immensely hilarious to me. :story:

Obligatory old Pastebin about his 2010's antics (yes I know it's :late:)

You know, while the using the same handle everywhere could be excusable, YanDev seems to have always been doomed by being a two-faced chameleon who only cared for clout and being liked more than actually making a game that may or may not find an audience. Honestly, any creator would have just made their thing (or at least finished a decent amount of it) before trying to gain a fanbase if they're starting from zero.

He's a fame hound. How ironic is it that now he's going to be famous for being a deepfake test dummy like L'inconnue Seine to CPR dummies?

It's crazy how when this game first came out and it was revealed that the game took place in 2021, it felt like some far-off year that we couldn't imagine. Now there's literally no hope for the game to be finished by 2021, even if Alex gets off his ass or an actual competent team took over. Do you think Alex with change the year or do you think that he'll just have the game occur in the past?

Well that didn't last long

Not to be that guy but saying "Hey here's the password everybody" before archiving anything, on a thread that's actively watched by the yansim-tards, was a dumb idea.

Wasted opportunity.
At the very least I could change his snoovatar:

Alex has already changed the year the game takes place, twice in fact.

At first it was supposed to take place in 2019. Then it was pushed back to 2020, and then it was pushed back again to 2021.

That's what happens when Redditards like @Audioponics🎵⛲ try to do any kind of expose's, they fail to read any rules or guides about what to do and pull off stupid shit like publicly posting that they have gained access to one of the accounts, or even worse, go full retard and post the password in the thread and expect people to do something with it, which ultimately leads to lack of archived lulz.

Seriously, we need some kind of gigantic, flashing banner saying "ARCHIVE FUCKING EVERYTHING" and linking to appropriate tools, since this little piece of text gets completely avoided by newfags. But even that wouldn't help, considering the lack of gray matter in redditards.

Oh yeah, not to mention the rule right above this clearly says "No trolling plans", yet dumb fucks like @Not Based or Redpilled decide to hack into all the accounts AND publicly announce the hack before even managing to archive everything.

Alex really deserves his own subforum, including a Great List of Shame including all the users that failed in trolling Alex and archiving whatever they hacked into.

Alex is approaching the levels of mainstream popularity Chris Chan "enjoyed" during the BlueSpike era. He's bound to attract a ton of weens. "Consume the cum chalice" is the new "JULAY"

Haven't seen these posted here yet. Just looked through some of his recent discord messages.

The archive is kinda wonky so I attached a screenshot of it.

I've also attached the CodeExplanation.txt he mentioned.

///// SHORT VERSION /////
/////////////////////////

Anyone who has performed a technical analysis of Yandere Simulator's current code has wasted their time.

The current code was never intended to be in the final retail version of the game.

The current code was written so I could provide a playable demo that lets people get an idea of what the final game is supposed to be like. The code was written very quickly so that I could upload videos to YouTube on a regular basis.

I explained all of this thoroughly in a video from 2018, and everyone seems to have forgotten about it:

My goal, since the beginning, has always been to hold a crowdfunding campaign and hire a programmer to replace me. I've been saying this for years.

(In the event that Yandere Simulator's current code is used as a base for the final game, all of the current code would, obviously, be refactored and optimized first.)

////////////////////////
///// LONG VERSION /////
////////////////////////

Around 2015, when Yandere Simulator got popular on YouTube, I felt a lot of pressure to upload content as frequently as possible. I committed to a "new video every 2 weeks" upload schedule, which required me to hastily slap features into the game as fast as possible. As a result, Yandere Sim was developed almost exclusively in "crunch time" from 2015 to 2017. During this phase of the game's development, I wasn't focusing on optimization or long-term maintainability whatsoever; I was thinking exclusively about putting cool new features into the game as quickly as possible, in order to maintain a steady upload schedule.

My plan, which has remained unchanged since the beginning of the game's development, was to produce a cool demo, hold a crowdfunding campaign, and use the money to hire a professional software engineer to completely replace me as Yandere Sim's lead programmer. I never intended for my code to be the game's final code; just the placeholder code that would be good enough to produce a playable demo that shows off most of the game's intended functionality. I explained this thoroughly in a November 2018 video titled "What's Going On With Yandere Simulator's Development?" (However, it seems that most people have forgotten or disregarded this video.)

To be honest, there is no point in analyzing code that was written under the circumstances described above. The code was never meant to be final, just functional, in order to allow people to experience a playable demo before putting any money into a crowdfunding campaign. Reviewing the code in its current state is about as meaningful as reviewing the earliest rough draft of a novel, instead of reviewing the final published work.

I'm fully aware of which scripts are sub-optimal, and I know exactly what would need to be done in order to improve them...but refactoring dozens of scripts would significantly delay the game's development, which is a sacrifice I'm not willing to make at this point in time, when I'm less than 2 weeks away from releasing Osana. I intend to stick with the original plan: release Osana, hold a crowdfunding campaign, hire a programmer to replace me, and *then* go through a refactoring phase.

There are a lot of myths about Yandere Simulator's code. For example, a long chain of if-else statements can't possibly harm a game's framerate if it's in a function which only runs for one frame and never runs again. The majority of statements that people make about Yandere Simulator's code aren't actually valid or accurate in the first place. These inaccurate statements are allowed to run wild because most people don't know enough about computer code to realize that they aren't hearing true or valid statements.

The Unity profiler tells me that the CPU is spending an exceptionally long time on rendering, physics, pathfinding, and updating the UI. Even the game's most inefficient, sub-optimal scripts are barely putting a dent in the FPS; the other factors are far more important. In January, my average framerate was 30 FPS, but in May, my average framerate jumped up to 55 FPS. This was not achieved by converting if-else statements to switch statements, but by optimizing occlusion culling and removing unnecessary physics operations.

In the end, I severely regret my decision to commit to a "new video every 2 weeks" update schedule. In order to implement major features on a tight deadline back-to-back for multiple years, I had to make numerous personal sacrifices. Remaining in constant crunch time for a period of two years put me into a state of severe burnout, and had a tremendous impact on my physical and mental health. Because I have remained fully committed to Yandere Simulator for 6 years straight, I have never truly had an opportunity to recover from that burnout, and remain in that state to this day.
Sorry if any of these are late. Seeing that the links weren't archived I assume not.

Is this why Yandere Simulator looks like a porn game without the porn? Seriously, how is this not a hentai game?

Except that his posts on that account are archived. But don't let that ruin your narrative.

They are even still publicly available. https://www.reddit.com/user/HurtForTheLastTime/
