Here's the tweet. Reddit's favourite cartoonist did wrong think and said that you can be friend's with people who don't share the same political affiliations and that echo chambers are bad. Naturally, Twitter and BreadTube had to cancel him.

Reminds me of Timothy Zahn's "Cobra" series, especially the first of the original Cobra trilogy. It also involves people being augmented into supersoldiers and, after their return, running into problems with the veterans being unable to turn off their combat reflexes and being a danger in civilian life. They then get ferried off to a new colony as a sort of special police and protection force.

Holy shit, i knew people would go bonkers when someone mildly popular says "Friends can disagree with you", but that level of reach in the comments is astounding. Can people in Twitter even stop thinking in extremes and think that maybe, just maybe, someone that disagrees with them is someone that thinks you should take better care of your industry and workers rather than outsource all your production to a 3rd world hellhole? Perhaps that, while people like Bob thrive on major disagreements between political spectrums to the point of no longer being friends despite the years or cutting out family, some people are normal and feel hurt about it, and it's clear that the left (and possibly some of the right who're always overshadowed) wants to continue that to "win" this culture war they are in a primitive tribal sense. It certainly doesn't help that major or esteemed political figures push for it when the world is going to shit and the last thing a person needs is being cut off by opposing politics.

It's because sports games took off during the PS1 and the kids who bullied him in middle school started playing vidya in high school on it. I can't remember where he let that particular bit slip but it's one of the most revealing things Bob's ever said. He hates "hardcore" gaming, FPS games, and Sony products because they embody the era where he wasn't the cool outsider for playing video games anymore, and, even worse, his precious Mario still wasn't popular as playing video games became more mainstream.
