How will Bob react to seeing the Mario film?

In the case of Bob, i think it's because he cannot compute outside of Mario titles.
Compute or compete? This is my opportunity to remind everyone that Bob confessed it took him several years to complete SMB3, and he needed a pinch-player subbing in to get him there.

Damn, that's fucking low. And that's a game that, by his own admission, he loves to bits. I'll take both for 500

Uh-Oh! Robert's misogyny is showing again:

Lol at loser Bob frantically flailing to try (and failing) to punch up like this. You’re morbidly obese, diseased, live in a basement and have never known a woman’s touch, Bob. I’m pretty sure KAC doesn’t give a shit about your impotent man rage at her, but at least try to pretend you have some dignity.

I’m also completely grossed out by Bob fixating on her minor daughter. Fucking nasty.

But hey, pretend comics scholar Bob is cherrypicking examples from 50 years ago. That's not to say there aren't good stories in the Silver Age (and it's when the great Dick Sprang did most of his Batman work) it's just not indicative of the tone of most Batman.
If Bob had a real sense of comic book history he would have known that Batman was on the verge of cancellation before O'Neill and Adams took over to take the character back to his roots. Frankly, I believe that Bob has a problem with sincerity in entertainment. Everything has to be "nudge, nudge, wink, wink" because he wants feel smart without having to put in any work. As @Flexo said with Superman '78 it was about believing a man could fly and Christopher Reeve did an excellent job at making the Man of Steel feel like a real person rather than a character. Same with Gal Gadot in Wonder Woman. She may not be in the same league (pun not intended) as Reeve as an actress, but she played Diana with charm and sincerity to make the character feel real enough to relate to as a fish out of water. Bob just self-referential humor because he sees it as a shortcut for his "criticisms" of film, which are really the the most shallow of characterizations.

His blainet hatred for women is getting annoying. That he still have the (tiny) balls to claim he is for women while he spew hatred over them is weird as fuck.
I have said it before, but Bob is so fat that he hasn't seen his dick in such a long time that it would be considered legally dead if it were a person.

What did Pat Chipman do (or not do) to inspire such virulent misogyny in her eldest child? She seems like a nice school nurse who did her best, and she didn’t necessarily do anything wrong. But I’ve never seen a man hate women this much without it having origins in his relationship with his mother.

Sometimes the mother doesn't do anything outwardly wrong. Bob thinks everyone is a stupid fucking idiot beneath him, of course that would get directed at the main authority figure at home. You spend a childhood thinking Mom's a dumb bitch any time she tells you you can't have your second plate of tendies until after you finish your homework, that'll eventually just become a blanket attitude towards women.
There's also the lifelong permavirgin with rage aspect to it, but much like I doubt Bob had to have some "swirlies every day"-tier childhood experience with bullying to become the bitter misanthrope he is now, I doubt a particularly malevolent mother is responsible for his misogyny.

As with most of Bobby's psychological hang-ups, it came down to the school days that he never grew out of. Bobby hates jocks, and by extension girls who prefer jocks to Technocratic Elites.

Has Bob ever considered getting therapy?
He was, if you trust Brick By Brick, literally too smart for his therapists.

I’m not suggesting her mothering was necessarily malevolent. Just that I don’t think Bob was ever securely attached to his mother. You don’t get to be a morbidly obese drunk with a 30+ year screen addiction and zero romantic experiences because you had a happy childhood (despite what Bob says).

Bob probably follows the Dan Harmon School of Smuhrt Film and TV, wherein self-referential/aware and ironic humour are a core part to make their intellectual fast food more digestable to 30 year old bugmen. They love the mindless Hollywood flicks where you don't have to think, but at the same time they're all taught that they're smart and need to be hypercritical of shallow consoomerism. Enter irony and self-awareness (on screen, not in them, of course), and the Bobs and bugmen can pretend that they all just enjoy it for the irony.
These people can't really enjoy anything unironically, because the SJW Praying Mantisses will bite their heads off if they find something problematic (and they will find something if they need to), and the things that are deemed safe are slobs of joyless hyperpolitical gruel that they are obligated to like. So they consoom what is safe to consoom.

Bob has an amazing ability to write with absolutely no clarity, and it only gets worse when he starts using forward slashes and abbreviations. I have no idea what he is saying in the first sentence. In the second, I guess he is advocating for AOC to "end" people like Sean here, whatever the fuck those people are.

List of things that make you no longer human to Bob, being a Nazi, liking Zack Snyder's movies, criticizing his cooking, not being in favor of mass genocide of high school bullies.

Bob’s fixation on “ending” entire populations would be worrying if there was any possibility of him having control or power over anyone ever. Luckily at this point he doesn’t even have control of his own dietary intake.

Basically, he's saying that many (non-woke) leftist populists like McCarthy there are as suspicious of or intimidated by AOC as their rightwing counterparts, and that in what Bob undoubtedly sees as the SUPERIOR FUTURE, when the non-woke Left and the entire Right will finally merge into the MEGABASKET of DEPLORABLES, AOC will send her woke and diverse stormtroopers to, uh, end them all.

Basically, Bob doesn't believe in political sides, hence the quotation marks around "sides". To him there's only GOOD and EVIL, and the non-woke Left and the Right are essentially the same and EVIL to him. Right now there's a nominal seperation between non-woke Left and Right, but Bob believes that soon it will all "realign" and all the non-woke people, left or right, will get what they deserve. I.e. a bullet to the head, and AOC will lead the charge.

Consider how horny Bob is (or pretends to be) for objectively disgusting troons and for misshaped lesbian blow up dolls made in China. The absolute lust Bob must feel for AOC, who is conventionally attractive (besides the crazy eyes), a real woman, politically hard left, and ethnically diverse, must be close to forming a singularity in the noosphere. The amount of jizzrags he would have soiled while thinking of her would be staggering if his dick would still work. That was your horrifying islamic content for the day.

Has Bob ever considered getting therapy?
Bob is a pussy. There’s no way he’s capable of being honest with a therapist when he can’t even be honest with himself. He has been hiding in literal basements all his adult life. This is not a creature who’s looking to do anything that requires courage or making himself vulnerable.

But it’s fun to think of his screening process for therapists. He’d probably want to know their voting history and be searching for their political donation history on OpenSecrets for starters. There would also be a lengthy questionnaire asking whether they believe the Snyder cut exists, if Batman should be dark, and where they think Mario was really born.

While I don’t disagree with the bolded, and posited it myself earlier in the thread, one thing I didn’t consider when doing so was his love of the Sam Raimi Spider-Man movies (which, to be fair, I’m quite fond of myself). Those movies are also very sincere and have often been mocked as being “cheesy”, yet Bob has a huge soft-spot for them. Could it be that Bob only dislikes sincerity when it’s applied to concepts that he doesn’t like? As in, he likes Spider-Man as a character but dislikes Batman for example (probably because he sees himself more in the former).
