Officer-involved shooting under investigation in Kenosha

KENOSHA, Wis. (CBS 58 ) -- An officer-involved shooting investigation is underway in Kenosha on Sunday, Aug. 23.

The shooting happened near 28th Avenue and 40th Street around 5:11 p.m., after officers were called for a "domestic incident."

According to police, officers provided immediate aid to the person. They were transported via Flight for Life to Froedtert in Milwaukee for treatment. The person is in serious condition.

A large crowd gathered near the scene following the shooting.

Kenosha Sheriff’s Department and Wisconsin State Patrol were requested immediately so that the scene could be turned over to an agency other than Kenosha police.

The Wisconsin Department of Justice (DOJ), Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI) will handle the investigation.

If only he was a white church shooter, he would have lived and gotten a trip to burger king too
Or if he was a dindu who killed a bunch of white people.

Big part on why BLM does not recognize violence against actually innocent blacks is that in those cases, they're murdered by their own. It's a sad fact of their community and acknowledging it would be acknowledging that they are not united as one strong community ready to take on the world and that violence is their normal. So, despite how bad a case might be, they'd rather champion a man gunned down by the police within reason over championing an innocent kid cut down in a drive-by. One is fighting "the man" and "the power", the other is snitching on themselves.
That in mind, we're discouraged to report Black on Black crime by the same people initiating it. No snitching, lest you face retaliation. And the cops can't or won't do anything about it.

Or if he was a dindu who killed a bunch of white people.

Both sadistic pieces of shit. The death penalty cannot happen soon enough for both of them. Or put them in a cell together for a bit.

Has anyone mentioned that there were children in the vehicle? And that the dude that got shot had outstanding felony warrants for domestic violence? Which is why, when the cops rolled up on a domestic violence scene, they moved to arrest him.

What was the deal for why he had seven children in his car at once on the heels of a domestic complaint? Did he assault their mother and then try to make off with the kids?

That, and its also to help deter mob violence. Everyone gets a trial, and people can't have trials if some rando's blasted them or they've been literally ripped to shreds by an angry mob.

A functioning justice system is one of the most basic requirements for a functional society. This is why I detest antifa, BLM, and the like since they fucking love vigilante "justice".

The Wisconsin National Guard is headed to Kenosha after police shot Jacob Blake in the back; attorney says his kids were in car

The Wisconsin National Guard was headed to Kenosha on Monday, according to the Kenosha News, after Kenosha police shot a man in the back repeatedly Sunday evening, setting off unrest in the city. A video of the incident appears to show the officer grab the man by the shirt as he tried to get into a van, then shoot him seven times at point-blank range.

The shooting victim has been identified as Jacob Blake, a Black man, by Wisconsin officials. He was in serious condition at Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee as of Monday.

Tyrone Muhammad, a member of the group Ex-Cons for Community and social change, said Blake's father told him Blake was out of surgery and was expected to survive.

Two people who live in the Kenosha neighborhood Blake has called home for about two years said he has five children ranging in age from 3 to 7 and a fiancee.

“He’d be out here with us right now. It’s a bad dream. I’m just waiting for him to come outside,” said one of the neighbors, who didn't want his name used because he feared police retaliation.

The man said when he went to the store about 15 minutes before the shooting, Blake was barbecuing with his kids. When the neighbor returned, Blake was trying to break up a fight. Seven or eight police officers arrived. They wanted to talk with Blake, but he wasn't interested and started putting his kids in the car to leave.

The video shows Blake walking toward the vehicle as two officers follow him with their guns drawn. They did not appear to use any other force on Blake before one of them shot him and he slumped onto the steering wheel.

Nick Larsen said he saw the incident on Facebook live and rushed to the neighborhood, where his mother lives, to see what was going on.

"It started out with police and people yelling and protesting, but it was pretty peaceful," he said. "Eventually, the riot police came and that’s when things started happening. You bring aggression to a peaceful situation, that’s when you get aggression.”

The Wisconsin Department of Justice's Division of Criminal Investigation said early Monday that the involved officers have been placed on administrative leave.

Civil rights attorney Benjamin Crump, whom the Blake family has retained to represent them, said Blake's three sons were in the car when Blake was shot.

"They saw a cop shoot their father," Crump tweeted. "They will be traumatized forever. We cannot let officers violate their duty to PROTECT us. Our kids deserve better!!"

Unrest followed the shooting Sunday evening. Several city vehicles were set on fire and businesses were vandalized.

Troy Limbaugh of Kenosha was scrubbing graffiti off the wall of the public library downtown Monday morning. He works at Frank’s Diner and had the day off, so he decided to do what he could to help. He got supplies from an event downtown where they were being handed out. “The graffiti is not helping anybody,” Limbaugh said.

It's so interesting to read news coverage of what was, according to the livestreamers I watching (who were veterans of Minneapolis, CHOP, Portland, and other places), a full-on riot. It was also interesting to watch them wandering the streets for hours, documenting various incidents of window smashing, arson, looting, and other riot-type activity, then at the end they went back to the courthouse and the mainstream press was basically embedded with the cops and hadn't moved outside their sight.

I've powerleveled here before but I have a friend who is a salaried journalist at a somewhat major mainstream paper and he said that his boss told him not to report on any looting, arson, or other riot behavior he sees, so everything winds up being a peaceful protest. The last "peaceful" protest he covered, he had a gun flashed at him and a colleague had his camera stolen. TV crews don't go to Oakland without armed security because they've had their $$$$$ TV cameras stolen so many times.

If the protesters last night were so peaceful and the cops were the violent ones, why were the TV journalists apparently unwilling to leave the line of sight of the police?

It's distressing to me as someone who believes in the necessity of a free press to know that we're being lied to.

I've also become increasingly aware of how much the news is not just omitting major details from what they cover, but just outright choosing not to cover various stories, or only covering them on the editorial page. Part of it is Trump Derangement Syndrome/Orange Man Bad, but I also really worry about the lack of distinction between news and analysis.

I know I'm not alone in seeing this. Eugene Robinson of all people just said on MSNBC that he'll wait until all the details are out before passing judgement on whether it was a valid shooting. Based and redpilled.

It would be typical of the fake news to report him "being murdered in front of his seven kids" even though the only reason they were there was that he kidnapped them in the first place.

You know, everyone keeps bringing up that his kids were in his car and how it's going to ruin their image of police. But meanwhile, the rumor is the police got called because of a domestic. So, were the kids around while daddy dearest is putting his hands on whoever? You think his behavior hadn't ruined those kids already? Get fucked.

At the end of the day, those kids are the real victims.

So Tony Evers isn’t a complete idiot? He understands that much like Kenosha his state is 90% wypipple and will not tolerate an ongoing situation like Portland or Seattle?

Fun's fun, but enough's enough. And you never go full commie.

Also Portland is 72% white, one of the whitest metropolitan area in the country. The others are shit like Boise, Spokane, Mesa, Arizona, etc.

Like the proverbial man who kills his parents and then asks the court for leniency on account of him being an orphan.

Also, I've seen conflicting reports that he had three kids/five kids between the ages of three and seven. Also, it was allegedly his fiancee who was foot stamping when the cops shot him.

If he was arrested and charged for various crimes in 2015, I assume he did time for them? So when did he have the opportunity to sire all them kee-yuds? And was the fiancee one of the women in the fight that he allegedly had to break up which started the whole incident? And is she the victim of his domestic abuse, or is there another baby mama in the scene?

I, for one, am 100% here for the ghetto soap opera that we're undoubtedly about to see unfold.
