KENOSHA, Wis. (CBS 58 ) -- An officer-involved shooting investigation is underway in Kenosha on Sunday, Aug. 23.

The shooting happened near 28th Avenue and 40th Street around 5:11 p.m., after officers were called for a "domestic incident."

According to police, officers provided immediate aid to the person. They were transported via Flight for Life to Froedtert in Milwaukee for treatment. The person is in serious condition.

A large crowd gathered near the scene following the shooting.

Kenosha Sheriff’s Department and Wisconsin State Patrol were requested immediately so that the scene could be turned over to an agency other than Kenosha police.

The Wisconsin Department of Justice (DOJ), Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI) will handle the investigation.

No indication as to which killing (car lot bandana guy or skateboard stomach shot guy) the murder charge relates to, but its probably the bandana guy.

He's also confirmed to be an Illinois resident and lives about 25 minutes from Kenosha in an Illinois border town, so he basically went home afterwards and that is why he's being charged with fleeing. I was under the impression they did briefly detain him before releasing him, which adds further absurdity to the fleeing charge if true. However, some media are claiming, without evidence, he was never detained.

If they can charge the guy who filmed the McMichaels (justifiably) shooting Ahmaud Arbery with murder, then they can charge this poor kid as well. The one guy he missed, who was kicking at him when he was on the ground, was black. Everyone else was white. It's uncertain whether he had even done any shooting in the first place, or was mistaken for the previous shooter. A looter got shot in the head while trying to loot an auto dealership, possibly by the owner, and then they just saw a guy with a gun and assumed he'd done it and started trying to murder him. That's when he had to defend himself.

The Kenosha Riots Happening seems like a distraction of what’s really going on. There’s literal people claiming that these riots aren’t violent, while other people are supporting the idea of having more children with their parents supporting these protests that “Defund The Police”.
