is tumblr alright? the latest BLM thing has made them so irrational they're going after non-american and casual users for not reblogging their social justice crap and how they're nazis and aiding white supremacy or something for being silent and not helping...like damn COVID is affecting everyone I don't see how one teen in Uruguay going to a BLM rally will help their cause.

And now it makes the 5th time someone has mentioned Uruguay in an English speaking website. Nice!

Well, you used to be able to, but it was one of the tags Purged during sex ban.
Just because some tags are unsearchable, you can still find the content if you dig hard enough. It’s there, you just have to find the right blogs and go through their posts. Some blogs might get marked as "sensitive content," but you can still click view anyway.

A discussion on the use of "queer"... honestly anyone who uses a bunch of labels like the "trans nonbinary bi woman who’s celibate due to dysphoria and possibly on the ace spectrum" in the example is either confused, mentally ill or trying to be special and unique. That specific example could easily just be a confused dude who likes both dick and pussy and isn't very typically masculine.

I'm in the "reclaiming slurs is stupid" camp - they started out as insults and will always carry that stigma, as long as the memory of said stigma is kept alive people will continue to find them offensive.

"Luxury of simplified language". Damn, someone has a gun to this person's head and is forcing her to write an essay about her personal identity, I guess.

If it takes ten minutes to describe your sexuality or gender, then chances are you're scraping the bottom of the barrel for why you're not straight and boring. That means you're normal enough to not be called a "queer" as an insult, so obviously you're not going to have that negative connection to the word. Meanwhile those who are LGBT are more likely to be called queer on sight, because they're holding hands with the wrong person or they look like a man in a dress, whereas the trans nonbinary aromantic pansexual just looks like an ordinary young woman with a pronouns pin.
Not much of a surprise that it's those dirty privileged gays who don't like the word they get yelled at them in the street. And then it's forced on them by others, and they get called bigoted if they complain.

It's such a weird divorce from reality. If I didn't already know that these people don't go outside, I would after reading that.

No one needs to know if you're an incel or not.

LGBT. The all-inclusive word that they're looking for that is not a slur that's been flung at people for holding hands with the wrong person or wearing the wrong clothes is LGBT. Why is that so hard for them to grasp??
