Pokémon (Not-So) Griefing Thread - Scarlet and Violet Released with 10 Million Copies in First 3 Days in Buggy States

Still can't believe they thought Unite would go over well with Western fans, they should've announced it in place of New Snap and moves that announcement to its own thing in place of Unite. Can you imagine how much better the goodwill would be?
Unless I'm out of touch with what fans want, I highly doubt people wanted a LoL pokemon clone and much rather would've had a pokemon openworld MMO that people have been dreaming of.

Huh, so there's a boss battle in Super mystery dungeon that's just mewtwo without a dungeon attached to it and I was like "There has to be a catch to this."
Turns out that catch is recover in its moveset, for 900+ healing. Also I thought I was being clever when I took heal block but it turns out that with the way statuses work in this game a boss can recover from heal block and use a recovery move before you have the chance to reapply it. I guess the safest way to beat this thing is to stall it out with Shedinja and Spiritomb since its only offensive moves are psystrike and aura sphere.

Since no one's bringing it up, Pokemon Masters EX is trying to trend on Twitter:

It's trending like this, however:

Apparently a bunch of porn artists for Nintendo stuff found it was deleted, so they’re reposting it under the tag. :story:

Am I the only one thats seriously concerned over the future of the franchise ever since its entry into the Switch era?

Game Freak/Nintendo has been nothing but lazy with the brand as of late (with some exceptions of course, like Mystery Dungeon remake...now one of Explorers of Sky please...)

Sword and Shield are one of the most lazy entries I have ever seen...its honestly to God worse than Gen 6 for me (at least in X/Y you could "catch'em all"). It looks like a 3DS game with Switch graphics and this is the same console that gave us Breath of The Wild (which people were expecting Sword and Shield to be the pokemon equivalent of) so its intentional.

The whole controversy with it being clear that game freak did an awful job trying to justify not having all pokemon just to motivate their Pokemon Bank equivalent. Among many many other fuckery. And its concerning that they seem to prefer to artificially extent their life span by giving a lackluster base game and relaying on DLCs to "fix" the stuff that they have caused. Im really not looking forward any future gens if this is the standard now.

People have been saying they want Diamond/Pearl remakes on the Switch, they have the guts to announce a Chinese Lol clone made by Tencent...

This shit is honestly exausting

Read the past several hundred pages and I think you'll find you're far from the only one with that sentiment my good chum.

Well I didnt mean it LITERALLY, it was just a matter of speech but maybe it was difficult to tell.
I know, just being a smartass lmao.

But in all seriousness yes, the current, highly worrying track the franchise appears to be going down has been discussed here ad nauseam. You're in good company.

I didn't think stuff like this happened anymore.

Is Masters doing well right now? I thought gatcha games were unpopular?
I'd say the game's fine. Like I said a few pages ago, it's one of the few mobile pokemon mobile games that's decently entertaining to play when you feel like investing time into it.

It's getting probably trending now because they got a major update recently that introduced a few new features such as one that's basically fighting the Elite Four and The Champion after grabbing the PML Badges.

I think it's trending 'cos they fucked up in a hilariously cursed way.

I've been considering if things could get better at this point or not cause technically sun and moon are an improvement over X and Y, so it is possible that SwSh is clunky cause they aren't used to making a main series game for switch and their next attempt could be better.

However, and I might've said this here before but I don't remember cause I say this a lot in other communities too when pokemon comes up, with the way the franchise is now gamefreak probably isn't even allowed to actually take their time with the main series games cause they need to keep the content machine machine going with new merch and anime episodes and cards. Compare this to animal crossing getting a delay cause it wasn't up to standards and metroid prime 4 still being delayed for the same reason. At this rate they may have no other choice than to keep shitting out a new game every year like Ass creed did for a while.

Its my upmost belief that Sw/Sh was honestly a 3DS game at first in developtment until Nintendo forced them to change it into a Switch entry, thats the only "reasonable" way to explain all the shortcut and lazyness like the whole "new models" lies (when they were merely moved from the 3DS to the Switch) and they obviously cant admit to it.
I want to believe the next entries will "compensate" like OR/AS and Sun and Moon did for X/Y (tho personally to me, Gen 6 was good on its own, it just didnt hold up as well as the previous ones as it was clearly made for newcomers in mind) but given how Game Freak seems to be okay converting a series that were mostly stood on their own (at most they had these "definitive" versions like Crystal, Emerald and Platinum) and now giving it DLCs...I can see they are okay with giving a lackluster base game and "compensate" with DLCs down the road. It all feels rushed and greedy. Im worried they might embrace this format of sells for the next games, especially since corporate simps keeps buying instead of closing their wallet to send the message across.

I lost my love for this once beloved franchise. When I first fell in love with it at age 11, it was a much different time. Now today with cellphones being a thing, I'm not a fan of Pokemon spending the majority of it's efforts and time on a mobile game(I hat emobile games). But I guess the times change and companies have to adapt to that change. So it's with great sadness that I have to put Pokemon behind me. The days of yore where they would release quality games is behind us. I'll remember all the games up until Sword and Shield fondly. RIP Red and Blue, Gold and Silver, Ruby, Sapphire and Emerald, Diamond and Pearl, Black and White. RIP Pokemon Colosseum, Battle Revolution, Pokemon XD. RIP Pokemon Stadium 1 & 2, Pokemon Snap. RIP Heart Gold and Soul Silver and RIP Pokemon Yellow.

Fs in the chat.
