Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

"A nation-wide mask mandate would be unconstitutional, so I won't be doing that." This is paraphrasing because I don't feel like transcribing his Porky Pig ass right now, so if you want the exact wording please watch the video.

You already said you were going to do that and then rescinded on your desire to do that twice, now. Make up your fucking mind and come up with a good excuse for why you never bothered to learn what's in the Constitution after spending half a century in politics, because that's gonna' be on the fucking test.
Right, so we're back around to the state and local governments being the ones to take on the brunt of this while the national-level government works on coordination of science and industry. Good thing President Trump has already been doing that since January.

So can anyone explain WHY exactly Hiden is polling better than Trump over the Wuflu response? Especially when he started out calling the China travel ban "xenophobic," and yet that's probably the only actual difference we've seen so far between the two of them (aside from his illegal mask mandate that changes with the wind). The rest of his so-called plans are either stuff that's already being done anyway or else just trite slogans that are too vague to actually mean anything. How does anyone seriously think Sleepy Joke would have done any better if he were president?

It's hard to believe this is simply another case of "muh polls are fake!" but maybe I could imagine it being a mixture of that with good old general public ignorance. The only way it would make any sense to me is if the dumb masses *still* see him as nothing more than a generic Democrat placeholder onto which they can project whatever they want.

Because it's fallen to a non-issue... the last poll I saw, it wasn't even in the top three of "most pressing issues" , or if it was, the first two that have consistently led since ANTIFA and BLM slipped their leashes (crime/economic recovery/jobs) take huge 30 and 40 % chunks while coronavirus only polls around 12%.... people don't think it's anything now but an inconvenience and dragging on lockdowns are causing more harm than good, in essence, it doesn't need a huge Federal response right now to most people, it needs to be ended.

The only people who are upset there's no plan from Trump on how to cure it are the deluded who still think it's killing millions, you'll kill Grandma and that we need to keep social distancing until 2025 just to be safe....

Biden's events seem like fun.
how come the Eternal Joe gets extra space but the plebs are bunged in next to each other at like half the distance

Wo- I hope you can trust the governors, but here's the deal. The federal government, there's a ??? to whether the federal government could issue such a mandate. I don't think constitutionally they could. So I wouldn't issue a mandate, but I plead with, I carry my mask with me everywhere I go. I set an example, I make sure that- and I understand what's happening, I see what's happening in your state. The numbers are going down because local authorities have taken er, responsibility of issuing mandates in their cities and their counties. And fewer people are showing up, without mask. The public is taking, note of what in fact increases the prospect of the virus coming down. Hence we need basic social responsibility. And those who talk about "my freedom to wear a mask", what- what about your patriotism to protect your neighbor from getting sick because you might be communicating the virus? I- I think this is such a selfish way to approach things. It's about making sure the public is safe and secure. And that is a local decision but there should be national standards laid out as to how it should be done about. You can't mandate that. But to set the example of what may be done.
him am are good word talk guy

It's more a matter of "we don't like Trump's response, so the other guy looks good" than anything else. Basic psychology, really. If someone is handling a problem and their handling is interpreted/presented as controversial, then the outsider who hasn't had to handle it can just say "I'm not the other guy" and get support. Of course, Biden hasn't actually offered any substantive policy recommendations. The one and only thing he has brought up is a mask mandate, and even that has been retracted in various forms multiple times now.

Biden is just untouched from the response thus far, so voters can project whatever they want onto him. Let's see if anything changes during the debates. I seriously have no clue what policies beyond masks Biden supports, and neither does the American public, really. If he has anything to offer, it will be asked (hopefully, if Chris Wallace doesn't cuck out) at the debate.

Because its Trump's problem. If there is a working vaccine in October, their plans to ride Coof to victory gets fucked as Trump is painting them as anti-vaxxers now. Even now, Coof is becoming less of a core issue as time goes on, ceding to the eeconomy and riots.

The Biden ad saying they're down in Michigan comes from Trafalgar, a pollster with an actually great record including 2016. However, Nate Tin at 538 doesn't use it. How strange that the media class has access to these same polls spelling trouble for Biden but refuse to acknowledge them, even when Biden himself (more like his puppeteers) do. Makes you really think.
I actually just got done checking the Trafalgar polls in 2016 for Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan, Colorado, North Carolina, Florida, and Georgia and it was right in every swing state they polled. Colorado went to Clinton while the rest went to Trump. Granted, it should be noted that Trafalgar does disproportionately sample Republicans so except for Ohio, Trump won by a smaller margin or in Colorado's case, lost by a larger margin.

So far, Trafalgar has predicted that Trump will win Georgia, Texas, Florida, Michigan, Wisconsin, Arizona and that Biden barely beats him out in Minnesota. We'll see how accurate their estimates are when we get the final result in November December.

Biden's events seem like fun.

They criticise Melania's rose garden but then host a garden party in what looks like a barely recovered CHAZ agricultural plot. Seriously, hasn't the Biden campaign ever heard of gardening? How about the aesthetics of film composition? The shot composition is disgusting.

This looks like a millennial meet up in a pozzed blue urban park. The masks outside thing also just comes off as not relatable to the common person. Sure, I'll wear a mask going to Publix, but I won't while walking my dog. And I have yet to see one of these prized Biden suburban white women, plenty of which surround me, wear a mask outside either. And this is in a swing state, though perhaps one unfriendly to the dems this cycle around. unless you're in a handful of heavily blue regulated urban areas, this shot comes off as just weird.

Georgia and Texas arent swingstates...
every poll that has them Dem oversamples a couple of places with big dem/negro population.

They can be if blacks and Hispanics have a larger turnout and swing back to 2012 Obama level. Trump had larger support among blacks and Hispanics than Romney did yet both state became bluer in 2016. Not enough to flip it, but enough to doubt them as safe states for Trump. I doubt it will happen, but don't be complacent. Polls favored Nevada going to Trump on Realclearpolitics but Clinton ultimately won it four years ago.

If Trump loses one of what I deem likely red states (Texas, Georgia, North Carolina, Ohio, Iowa) he has zero path to victory.

Turn out was pretty high for dems in 2016. sure Texas could swing without a problem, they have like 50% of people voting, but most of them are lazy white people not latinos.
Georgia didnt flip in the gov election even with massive voter fraud, it will not flip.

Except not really. / archive

Two-third of eligible blacks voted in 2012 yet fell below 50% in 2016. Hispanics and Asian don't vote as much, the former slightly fell while the latter slightly rose. Whites, the light red voting demographic for Trump, actually rose. If blacks had maintained their record level support in 2016, Clinton would likely be in the White House since Florida would have turned blue and Georgia likely would too.

Why else did the Democrats go all in on Nigger Lives Don't Matter after Fentanyl George druggie ass died of overdose and picked The Wicked Witch of Commiefornia as Biden's vice president? Because they know the nigger vote is the key to winning elections and they're not expecting a bleed towards Republicans anytime soon.
