My country has now imposed new sanctions, although I don't see how they will be enforced. It's rainbows but things will clearly be worse over winter what with ordinary flu and other illnesses plus covid, most likely all lumped into one stew. I'm not a big fan of winter anyway but I'm really not looking forward to this one at all.
This is, I think, one of the greatest tragedies of this whole situation. Young people are being robbed of experiences and opportunities. Prom, first dates, the university experience, an overseas year, a summer job, all of these things have either been eradicated or altered. These years are valuable and form who you grow up to be. I know most people sit and wish they could be young again, but I'd so glad I'm not a child or teenager now. I would be angry about all that was being stripped away from me.
Add that to a crippled job market, shitty home buying options and fucked environment and there's really not a great deal for the younger generation (who are also somehow mysteriously supposed to fix it all whilst also being lectured to about their gender identity, PRIVILEGE and levels of wokeness) to look forward to.

Humans may not be the strongest, fastest or deadliest in the animal kingdom...but you know what made us the dominant species? Simple, adaptation, resiliance and intelligence. Our bodies can adapt much easier than any other animal. They get sick and die, we get sick and get STRONGER from it. Corona is a tiny little bitch compared to the viruses humanity dealt over its very bloody and glorious history. If something will wipe us out, it will require God's full wrath to do so because a man-made imp of a cold virus aint.gonna.cut.it...
Oh and them being disgusting is ironically better for your own immune system so...there is that.
Its my belief this shit will begin dying down after the elections are over with. My positive outcome, Trump/Biden wins, the left either realizes this shit didnt work out like they intended (or it did, thus they dont want to boycott their Biden america) and the media claims the cases are going down and vaccines appear to "save the day" and they might not even be mandatory cuz they want this shit to be over as much as us. My most "negative" outcome is Trump winning, the left growing so fucking pissed with this, they double down and decide to keep using Corona to "take down" as much of society as they can...the results wont be pretty for either side...and they surely wont win...so for their sake, they better play this smart and let this corona shit END "peacefully" and let us enjoy our last 4 years of god damn peace.
Not that Im saying millenials are perfect but when you look back on the last few decades, you cant help but pity them...they went through 2-3 economic crashes and among many many other wars, disasters,pandemics, have to deal with shitty economics that can afford barely the minimun and riots.

Michigan has been divided by Governor Gretchen Whitmer (D) into various regions, and corona restrictions on business, gatherings, etc. are set by region and not by county. Alcona County, in northern Michigan, population about 10,000, passed a resolution back on August 19 saying,
“We are not advocating for overthrow or abolishment,” according to Alcona County Resolution 2020-13, “but if these practices continue, (we advocate for) civil disobedience and ignoring the over-reaching and oppressive Executive Orders that have been inflicted on our citizens, akin to the Boston Tea Party, which was respectful to the cargo vessels but not the cargo itself.”
Also in August, Alcona County asked the Governor to be moved from its current region to one that is curently and has generally been less restricted.
"Whitmer rejected the proposed MERC region change in an Aug. 11 response letter, stating that Alcona was associated with Bay and Saginaw counties due to “commuting patterns and healthcare emergency preparedness infrastructure.” Alcona County is more than 100 miles away from both Saginaw and Bay City."
"In a poll of 600 likely voters by the Glengariff Group, 59% said they approve of Whitmer’s job performance, including a large share of the independent and Black voters who will be key to any Democratic win in November. Either Michigan has succumbed to a statewide case of Stockholm syndrome, or these polls are complete horseshit. I cannot honestly believe that anyone actually agrees with her tyrannical policies without being brainwashed.
Things are gradually getting closer to normal in my state. Mask mandate was extended to mid-September, but if we don't have a big Labor Day bump, that might be the end of it since we've been continuing to trend downward in cases and deaths, even having days with no deaths. Still haven't been able to go to church in-person (not due to any government restrictions, just that my pastor is being exceptionally cautious), but I'm hoping that'll change soon enough. Keeping my fingers crossed that the madness will be done here by the end of the year.
