Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? I'm not sure how much sincerity is there, but he's changed his tune over the past few years, admitting to getting caught up in the anti-Trump hysteria and recently apologizing for implying Trump has bad relations with his family. He even poked fun at himself a year or so ago by saying he wouldn't endorse Trump because he has a habit of endorsing losers and he wants Trump to win. It could be as simple as seeing where the winds are blowing and changing his stance for that reason, but I think there's at least a modicum of "my bad, I was wrong" that he really means.

A ton of the 2016 Never Trumpers switched sides after Trump started doing the things they always demanded be done, but were never delivered. The rest such as the Lincoln Project losers are 100% Grifters upset because nobody is paying them for their opinions anymore.

There was an illuminating moment in 2017 that makes me think he had a real epiphany. On an episode of his radio show that spring, he tried to publicly warn Stephen Colbert that he was making the same mistakes as host of the Late Show that Beck routinely made back in 2009 when he was the preeminent case of Obama Derangement Syndrome in the country. Framing it that way suggests a measure of self-reflection, enough that it tips the scales towards genuine for me. It'd take a super talented publicist to have the wisdom/balls to recommend that take to Beck independently.

So the lesser of two evils is Trump.
And that's my worry. Everyone's assuming he's going to fall apart in the debates, but I don't think that's a sure bet. Yes, he sounds pretty much dead to the world and gaffes all the time, but I seem to remember him before / after some of these gaffs being downright lucid.

I admit that I was also one of the Never Trumpers until I realized just how much the "right side" was just a crock of bullshit and lies.
The man's not great but if you have to smear, rewrite history, and just straight up take away his wins, then it's not really good vs evil thing.

I'm not exactly pleased with his bump stock ban though I always thought they were a dumb gimmick and I'm not pleased with his knee jerk reaction on red flag laws either, but his judicial nominations are what's important to me and he's so close to flipping the 9th Circuit. One of his nominees was a literal roof Korean that upheld the striking down of magazine cap laws in CA, and that still has a pretty good chance of getting overturned on appeal because the court is still 50/50. Even off of that alone Trump is a no brainer against Biden who wants AWB 2.0 no sunset provision this time with Beto in charge and Kamala fucking Harris waiting in the wings.

Beck has some sort of BiPolar type issue I'm sure. he is capable of Self Reflection. But you see some real differences between him on an upswing, where he creates some truly compelling content. Often stuff that nobody talks about but should. Like talking about Some Black Founding Fathers and heroes of the American Revolution that were largely purged from History during the Wilson years. And then there are the Bad Days, where he makes Alex Jones seem sane balanced and sober.

insight + weight gain is the typical change I've seen in bipolar people when they get on effective meds and stay compliant for long periods of time. He will probably be more likely to have problems like high blood pressure or diabetes but he is a lot less likely to kill himself or others.
People were praising joe biden's performance in the CNN town hall. I didn't watch. Seems like all he has to do is not shit himself or say slurs and people cheer for him. I completely agree with trump that they give him drugs to keep his attention focused on days where it matters, but that can only go so far, and it puts him at risk for sudden death. I hope trump talks about biden's history of plagiarism in the debates.
