People who have no idea what they are talking about or those who want a movement to be something that is not because they know the negative side would affect them directly.

Imagine all those liberal muslims who keep claiming Islam is in fact pro-gay because they know that their muslim identity will protect them for any criticism in the West and they won't let that go even if it means to pander for a religion that mandates you should be killed.

In Shoe's case, she wants an economical nanny state that will provide everybody their basic needs while, at the same time, have zero allegiance to that state that she's expecting it won't meddle into her life.

Libertarianism as a philosophy has some actually good ideas to apply to your personal life... That is, if you actually understand it, and don't just call yourself "libertarian" because you want to be special or something. (libertarian socialist lmao) I don't believe June is libertarian in any way except the most surface level stuff like "human rights gud." She's otherwise pretty clearly a socialist, at best.

I've know plenty of "libertarians" and can honestly only name 2 dudes I personally know who are on the level and even they say that "mainstream" libertarianism is fucking retarded and it's more a personal ideal. The rest are just retards that want weed legal and even though none of them have ever run a business they have super hard ons for deregulating any and everything business related. I legit had a dude argue with me that doing away with all the regulations for chemical dumping is an awesome idea because people have smart phones and someone will get footage of a company dumping chemicals and we'll socially shame them into not doing it again.

Also, Shoe is dumb and it will be entertaining to watch her massive decline as what looks she has quickly fade and people start to actually listen to her instead of lookin at them nice titttays.

This exactly. Most people who identify as libertarian online are attention whoring IMO because they just "suddenly" decided to be libertarian very recently, sometimes little as a few ones, most are like 1-2 years tops. It's not like they actually believe in libertarianism, they just want to be different. Always trying to sound "super smart and special" and ranting about "muh society" while knowing nothing about economic or politics, on top of literally not even knowing what libertarianism is, such as the history.

I have some friends who were libertarian before it went mainstream in 2016-ish, they're nothing like the edgelords I see on twitter and shit. So... Seriously, who the fuck are these people? Edgelords/attention whores, or glowies.

She's butt buddies with Vaush and a many other hyper-leftoids. She also supports Bernie Sanders, and not Gary Johnson or Jo Jorgensen.

Not to derail this thread but Gary Johnson is a fucking moron and Jo hasn't really impressed me too much but she's aight compared to the two mainstream candidates. Most the libertarians I know, have been since like 2010-2012 and most of them have since converted to main stream R/D politics.

tl;dr Bernie gives out free shit and Gary doesn't.

Assuming the key difference to shoe is socialism, I think this is where shoe's libertarian-socialist split comes from... I don't disagree that public health services are a beneficial idea, buuuuuuuut there's literally no fucking money. Bernie Sanders, wants to socialize healthcare and human services heavily, but it would create an unsustainable deficit of trillions that the US literally has no money to pay for, being it's already $26 trillion in debt. On the other hand: Gary managed to get rid of a budget deficit in his state (AZ, $1Bn+) while lowering taxes. GJ is not big on free healthcare or medicaid because of the costs, which makes sense financially with all the debt.

June herself, goes pretty hard about free healthcare and I assume that came at least partly from Armored Skeptic being a Canadian leaf who enjoys shitting on the US for not having socialized medicine. Logically, it makes more sense to not add to the US debt, but free shit "sounds" like a good idea and that's actually dumb.

OT about Gary specifically: Never understood the hate. I know you may not agree, my opinion is Gary Johnson>Bernie Sanders. GJ has an excellent record and his personal life is impressive and scandal free. He's messed up a lot of times in public speaking and sounded like an autist, and Austin Peterson tried hard to troll him. But I think the hate is really unfair compared to most politicians who lie like snakes.

Point 1) She supported Bernie cause it was popular in her sphere and as with almost every single person who outwardly supports any political candidate or movement to any degree beyond, "Hey, I kinda like that guy/idea", it's just lazy, moral masturbation to feel like you're fighting for what's right without actually contemplating the deeper issues at hand. I see this from all sides of the political spectrum and it's gay.
