An open source version could be nice...

Oh absolutely, the game would've been done ages ago if that was the case and it could've lived on way better than it has now. I get a feeling it would've still been a little meme game but it would've been one people actually enjoyed, but Alex is Alex and why would he ever do anything beneficial huh?

If Apies would ever to give LL sourse code I imagine the development of yandere game will turn into a lolcow roguelike.

To be blunt, I don't think he'll give out the source code because if it turns out he reused code from OpenWNM or stole assets from YanSim, he doesn't want people knowing about it. He claims that the assets he used are paid and releasing them would be illegal, but when asked about open-sourcing the raw source code (not the whole project), he remains strangely silent.

It's entirely possible that LL was a tangled mess of spaghetti like YanSim. It's also possible that it was clean and well structured, but unless Apeis has a change of heart, we'll never know.

Plus, if it turns out LL's code is spaghetti, there's no point in trying to fix it when someone would most likely just start over and toss out all the old code.

Quoth Muskrat:
"Lol, no one wants to use the shitty code from any of these games. They'd spend more time fixing it than they would just writing it from scratch."

It's Internet Blood Sports all over again.
All you have to do is [do thing]. That's it. Just [do thing] and get money. Literally all you have to do, the only thing, the singular exclusive object of effort is to [do thing]. Just [do thing] and don't be retar--

Alex is streaming right now as a vtuber. His avatar is a cute anime girl with jiggly boobs because of course.
...you weren't kidding about the jiggle. She's not gainaxing but it's quite noticeable.
Checked on Alex for a minute, he's really getting into the VTuber thing:

Sadly, this does not improve his Minecraft streams.

It's probably from here, (or the girl seems very similar):
That's the model; she just lacks the hairball thingy.

Edit: Also, Alex really sucks at digital Legos. Preteens would do better.

I'm a bit late to this specific conversation, but I wanted to give me opinion on it

I think a Yandere game could work, but not as a Hitman clone, but more as an environmental puzzle game like the Escapists. Basically you'd have to manipulate the school's social environment to your desired outcome. Get to know the characters, manipulate them, etc.

Alex Mahan is trying extremely hard to make a crawlspace under the rock-bottom of careers that is Zoe Quinn's game "developer" job.
Zoe can get away with any shit thanks to her GamerGate victum status + her past dick riding. Alex can only hope for such convenient developer e-fame.

I'm assuming there's people here who like maths, when I ask if there's a way to brute-force the way
I think the slavs made the only yandere-type game we'll ever actually see finished. Anyone skilled enough to make an actually fun, interesting game in that vein probably has better ideas.

That's the thing. If you truly know how to make a game properly and not shoot yourself in the foot by going the "lazy" route... You'd be much better off making your own stuff rather than copying what someone already made. The only good reason I see for trying to recreate YS is for someone who actually wants to learn how to code. And given the history of this I would suggest burning that project down as soon as it's finished lmao

It definitely could with an idea like that, the problem is everyone who makes a yandere game just wants to try and spite Alex, always failing in the process

Virgin American Yandere Simulator vs chad Slav Yandere School.

Seriously, a game made by a real, greedy company (and "greedy" here is not a bad thing, on the contrary), not by an amateur gremlin trying to prove themself, and it came out as a fully complete and playable product. Even if it's bland and uninspired.
