I was a bit disappointed that Kyle Rittenhouse’s lawyers didn’t really provide any new information that hasn’t already been seen here or on 4chan. That might be because Rittenhouse hasn’t been extradited yet, so his lawyers can’t “officially” start his defense until then.
Anthony Huber’s gf (now ex obviously) and some other people are now suing Kyle Rittenhouse, Facebook, and “militia groups” for the violence in Kenosha. From what I can see: none of the plaintiffs have standing. Hannah Gittings was not married to Huber, Huber is not the father of Gittings’ daughter, and she was not on the scene when he died. It’s so weird she’s being referred to as his “partner,” when they haven’t been together more than a few months, weren’t married, and don’t have any permanent ties like a kid together. Obviously it’s the media trying to trick people into thinking they were married and that she has a reason to act this insane for this guy. Imo, she’s just trying to grift more money for her gofundme (which lies about pretty much everything the money is being used for except the part about “supporting Hannah”).
Edit: None of them have standing, and they’re suing a giant publicly traded company. I think their hope is that Zuckerberg just settles and uses the lawsuit as an excuse to crack down more on “hatespeech.” I didn’t realize “life partner” is a legal term now. And I have no idea how one can sue the “Boogalo Bois” if they aren’t an actual entity.
His most recent charges (which he hasn’t been convicted of yet) are for domestic violence. I’m not sure if he’s allowed to still have a firearm while the domestic violence charges are pending, but hopefully he’ll be convicted of those charges soon and maybe get some reckless endangerment charges in Kenosha (probably too much to hope for, but that doesn’t change that it would be appropriate for him to be charged for it).
