I just find it absolutely hilarious that Chantal feels stressful despite living a life that consist of nothing but eating junk food for every meal, watching tv all day and basically spending whatever meager earning she makes on youtube on tacky, useless stuff.
The only thing she should be stressed about is her impending trip to the coroner.
I can believe she is miserable from what she thinks is stress. Having a few days off from work can be relaxing for normal people, but laying about unemployed all day for years on end, doing nothing but eating,
is stress-inducing, because you have no outlets, no structure in your life, no meaning or purpose. It can be miserable to be at such a loose end for so long, and drown it out with food and television all day.
Humans weren’t meant to lay about doing zero all day every day. We need purpose and activities to occupy our minds and hands and feel a sense of accomplishment and drive. Even just having hobbies helps significantly. Chantal does
nothing all day except sit in front of the telly while eating, sit at the kitchen table and eat, sit on the stairs waiting for food to deliver so she can eat, then sleep.
If you look at unemployed people who do nothing all day, they often complain of depression and stress and a million mysterious aches and pains that go away once they start doing things every day again.
Doing nothing hurts us, physically. So I can understand Chantal saying she is miserable and stressed, but it’s her own fault and being more productive, even just doing chores, would alleviate it.
As to her favourite chicken sandwich being the one served back in her school days, that reveals two things about her:
1) Chantal actually remembers food from school, decades ago, when normal people would likely instantly forget such things upon graduating, and
2) Chantal has been obsessed with food and eating since she was a child. I’m betting she had a schedule of all the school cafeteria meals and what day they were served on, much like the way she said she planned her work days around what would be served in the office cafeteria that day and would be excited the night before for it.
Her brain really has only ever had one specific focus and goal: acquire salty, fatty, greasy food and cram it down her throat as much as possible. It’s staggering how mental she is.
