US Joe Biden News Megathread - The Other Biden Derangement Syndrome Thread (with a side order of Fauci Derangement Syndrome)

Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

I'm still pretty skeptical of Biden being the president tbh. Biden is not different than an old radio losing it's last legs being powered by an electric battery to keep it running smoothly. I have no I'll will towards the guy, but I don't know how to put it.

So my friends and I are planning to have a drinking game during the debates, where each of us chooses either Trump, Biden, or Chris Wallace to do/say something that we'll then have to drink to.

We haven't set up the rules for what words/phrases each of us would need to drink to, but it can't be something so ridiculously likely to happen that we'd die of alcohol poisoning. Any thoughts/suggestions?

Drink if someone other than Biden or Trump interrupts Biden or Trump.
Drink if the applause for something Biden says starts before he finishes saying it, powerslam the whole bottle if the applause startles him to the point where he fucks up whatever he's saying.

1. Go to Cleveland for debate
2. Paid Antifa act up
3. Cancel debate for safety
or have the guard bash the shit out of antifa outside.

I remember a study in 2016 about what outcome during election day would prevent a Trump or Clinton voter from going to the polls. I think ~15% of Clinton voters said rain compared to 2% of Trump's. The only thing that would cause a majority of Trump supporters not voting was an unironic Alien Invasion or apocolyptic asteroid collision.
we need some brave people in the air to make it rain...

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson endorsed former Vice President Joe Biden and Sen. Kamala Harris, marking the first time he’s ever publicly thrown his weight behind a political candidate.

With the exception of a brief flirtation with a 2020 presidential run himself, Johnson, 48, often takes great pains to remain apolitical at a time when Hollywood is seemingly filled to the brim with activism.

However, the “Jumanji” actor took to Instagram, on Sunday, where he shared a video of a virtual conversation he had with the two Democratic candidates and officially gave them his public endorsement.

“I’m going to be pushing this political conversation just a little bit more,” he began the video before introducing his chat with the duo. “Look, I’ve got friends in all parties, but the one thing we can always agree on is the conversation and the dialogue, and where that conversation lands is always the most critical part. Now, this is something that I’ve certainly not done in the past, so I’m going to go big. You guys know me, if I go, I go big!”

He added: “As a registered Independent for years now with centrist ideologies, I do feel that Vice President Biden and Sen. Harris are the best choice to lead our country, and I am endorsing them to become president and vice president.”

The “Hobbs & Shaw” actor then showed a recent conversation he had with Biden and Harris in which he appeared virtually from his home while they sat together on a stage. He began by showering the two candidates with what he sees as their respective qualifications for the White House.

“You’ve led, in my opinion, with great compassion and heart and drive, but also soul,” he said of Biden.

Turning his attention to Harris, Johnson said: “You’ve been an attorney, a district attorney, a state attorney, a U.S. senator, smart, tough – I’ve seen you in those hearings – and, in my opinion, you are a certified bada--.”

Although he was complimentary, the star’s endorsement came with a chance for him to ask them both a question. Reflecting on the recent death of his father, Rocky Johnson, he noted that one of the late WWE Hall of Famer’s mottos was that respect is something to be earned.

“How will you earn the respect of the American people once you’re inside the White House?” he asked.

“By doing what we say we’re going to do, by keeping our word, by leveling with the American people, by taking responsibility,” Biden quickly responded. “When we fail, acknowledge it. We’re not going to be perfect, but take responsibility!“

Biden continued: “Tell the truth! It sounds so basic, but the American people are strong, they’re tough. They can take anything if you level with them and tell the truth.”

Harris added: “it’s about trust, right? As we know the nature of trust… it’s a reciprocal relationship. You give and you receive trust. And one of the foundations of trust is truth, you must speak truth. But here’s the reality, truth can sometimes be difficult to hear and for that reason sometimes people don’t speak it, but you cannot have trust if you don’t speak truth. You know that as a parent.”

Johnson’s foray into politics for the 2020 election comes after he previously told Rolling Stone that he didn’t vote in 2016. Although he voted for Barack Obama twice, he said he felt the choices the last time around weren’t adequate on either side.

“At the time, I just felt like it was either vote for the [candidate] I thought would make a better president than the other, even though I would rather have someone else, or not vote at all. I wrestled back and forth with it. We were on the set of ‘Jumanji’ in Hawaii, and it really was like calling on the gods. Give me the answer. Ultimately, it was [to not vote].”

Well last time I checked, Stone Cold hasn't bent the knee to any of these cunts, so more power to him.

And he is clearly Jwoke so that puts him streets ahead of Dwayne here.

Probably going along with the Hollywood crowd, to be honest. He still wants those acting gigs in Tinsel Town, after all.

But also, actors/wrestlers are not known for their intelligence. See: Patrick Steward and Takei. I wouldn't take any of their endorsements seriously.

And you're probably right, but this makes him look like a fucking clown.

I was under the impression that he was one of the clever ones, guess I was wrong.

In all seriousness, Batista runs circles around him acting wise, seeing as Dwayne has now been typecasted as "generic action hero #63352345".

Break out the Victrola and tie an onion to your belt while you're at it Joe! Everyone knows the iron horse is the transportation of the future! What happened to this great idea?

That's not the first time Dwayne Johnson has endorsed a candidate; he was a guest at the 2004 RNC; the "People's Eyebrow" was there as entertainment, though, nobody GAF what he felt politically. And no-one should now. Shit, Chevy Chase performed at the RNC one year, either '88 or 2000. Of course (perhaps the only decent "public" thing he ever did), Chase was friends with the Fords.

It reminds me this video from Whang:
Where apperantly it was the left that wanted to censor violent/sexy programming (despite you'd think it would be the Republicans if you lived in that time) and the WWE went against them, which probably didn't really change anything but still made Democrats blame them from losing the presidential race.

It's like nothing really changed besides us being more knowledgable on what the Democrats really want.

I've come to the conclusion that a bunch of Biden voters hate this country and want to commit national suicide, and a Joe Biden victory, possibly contested through the courts (and on the streets, violently) followed by an immediate constitutional crisis when he is medically forced to resign, is a good method. Others love the chaos, they think they'll ride it right into power. Neither wing has the slightest bit of respect for constitutional or institutional norms and laws. Precedent can be thrown away, tradition is a joke at best. Every illusion is being cast aside, it's become quite clear that they want the ship of state to crash.

ETA: Oh and some wrestler dude gave a lukewarm endorsement to Biden, I guess.
