Every life counts! Even horribly fucked up brainless inside out babies that will only know suffering if they're carried to term!

Pretty sure this is meant for diagnostics that were wrong.

Nope, it's a pro-life/anti abortion group.

This is the summary of it on Wikipedia: "Every Life Counts is a campaign and support network for families whose child is diagnosed with fatal foetal abnormalities, and an anti-abortion campaign group in Ireland. They campaign for the creation of a perinatal hospice in Ireland, as an opposition to abortion in cases of fatal foetal abnormalities, claiming it is not a "pathway to healing", and that abortion causes depression and distress."

Here's one of their "success" stories

Another success story. Gotta love the obligatory jabs at the mean evil doctors that suggested aborting a brainless fetus.

EDIT: oh fuck, looks like they have a page on zombaby.
To be perfectly honest, at least they acknowledge that the baby's not going to live very long. Many of the others keep thinking their horribly deformed child will live a long, healthy life.

I hope this means Robyn is getting ultrasounds. I'm glad she is under medical care this time.
Strange she would be classified as a high-risk pregnancy since Luna’s issue was a birth injury. But then again I think any woman who has a potato kid gets the high risk classification no matter what. Either way it’s good she’s realized she needs real doctors, sad it took Luna’s suffering and eventual death to get that dose of common sense.

I got no issue with people who want to let nature take its course and offer hospice services to the babies who survive after birth. I’d applaud the American fundies if they had that much sense.

But I also have a big problem with any group that wants to stop any woman from having an abortion, especially if they have a no brain potato baby.

Nobody should be forced to carry and birth a open skulled cyclops baby if they don’t want too. For me personally, that prospect is only slightly less disturbing than the chest buster scene in Alien. The chestburster might kill you, but at least you don’t have to have a photo session with it and bunch of religious nuts telling you it’s a blessing.

She's high risk because she's not compliant and doesn't trust doctors. That's enough to get that note on the chart.

Don't forget the essential oils and reiki though.

Reiki looks like something that should get you a 5150. Does it look like Luna's head is getting bigger?

Jeez, they're that little? On one end, it's horrifying, but on the other end, it's heartbreaking.
The video says this one miscarried at 13 weeks, explaining the small size. Sometimes these kinds of head defects aren't detectable until much later into the gestation period, over 18 weeks. The real tragedy of the late discovery period is that it is occurring to wanted pregnancies.

If you want to have an unmedicated birth, fine. By what is the benefit of having one in a 'birthing center' as opposed to a hospital? This woman is 'sit on your own balls' dumb.

Actually, I think this is a terrific idea! I couldn't imagine a store carrying them because they just wouldn't sell that many, but online? Parents are probably loving this. Target has also used models with Down syndrome for the past few years, and those kids who are modeling the costumes do look like they are aware of what they are doing. The adult models certainly did.

I read about a catalog of adaptive toys and clothing for disabled children that used children with the targeted disabilities as models, and one family said that their daughter wanted to take the catalog to bed with her because it was the first time she had ever seen pictures of kids that looked like her.

Update about this: Last week's Target ad had pictures of different costumes, including the wheelchair-adapted costumes, modeled by a disabled child, and it said that those are available on target.com.

Deformed fetuses are pretty terrifying, ngl.
Granted, this one miscarried, but still.

You might want to spoiler that.

Considering people with mental illness get added to high-risk category, it is probly due to her beliefs since it's one way to make sure she can't harm this baby as easily.

It's a progressive disorder its going to grow regardless of the shunt, shunts just slowing it down a bit.

Nah, I had an anencephaly baby & wasn't considered high risk at all for any pregnancy. But you'd think with that kind of birth injury she would definitely be considered high risk.
