Details: The debate will be 90 minutes long and have no commercial breaks. There will be no opening statements, and instead Wallace will dive right in with the first question to Trump. It will be divided into six 15-minute segments that Wallace has chosen. They are:
1) The Trump and Biden records;
2) The Supreme Court;
3) Covid-19;
4) the economy;
5) race and violence in cities;
6) the integrity of the election.

After the debates a poll will be posted on who you think won this first debate. Have lots of fun, keep the commentary fresh as I'm sure we've all heard many of the same lines for months and enjoy the beginning of the end of this presidential election cycle. Just as a reminder, on October 7th there will be a Vice Presidential debate between Kamala Harris and Mike Pence at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, Utah.
You can view Joe Biden's megathread here, and Donald Trump's megathread here

The only reason I want a Biden win now is JUST to end the LARPing faggotry from the Proud Boys and other Orange man dick suckers. Fuck everything else.
If anything, we'd probably see more proud boys if Biden wins. As antifa will probably be given a carte blanche license to do whatever the fuck they want with the dems in charge.

All he had to do was play for the moderates and look more confident and self-assured than the man who has to keep re-starting his sentences to keep his train of thought chugging along, and instead he was vague, incoherent, and kept mentioning things off-hand only his base has heard about, making it easy to paint him as lying. Even when he got the softball question about banning Critical Race Theory he flubbed it by not mentioning some of the patently questionable horseshit that ideology pushed.
Are you sure? From what I've watched, Trump was actually rather specific, especially on topics like Hunter Biden and forest management. I would like to know what Trump should have said about Critical Race Theory beyond that "it's racist" and that "it teaches people to hate our country" (not even an attempt at a "gotcha", I'm genuinely asking this).

A lot of people are saying that Trump would have done better if he interrupted less. I disagree. It's clear he would have been run over by the moderator if he hadn't. Wallace would have given combative followups to Trump the whole time while letting Biden off with the initial question.

Wallace is an embarrassment to humanity, he's worse than Biden if you think about it

If Biden wanted to come out looking like he had the moral high ground and better demeanour, it didn't really work. That puts out a lot of the "undecided voter" vote, I think, especially in the Rust Belt. If it's about turnout within their coalitions, I don't think anyone on Trump's side really cares one way or the other. But Biden dissing certain far left ideas (police are evil, Green New Deal is amazing, etc) will certainly deflate enthusiasm among the Bernie base.

Proud Boys are.... pro-Trump, homosexual, military LARPers that antagonize ANTIFA from time to time.

Why on Earth would Trump say that?
Yeah yeah, all the transgender latinx toddlers of color will now be murdered by right wing death squads now that Drumpft gave the signal at the debate. Try something original next time

This is pretty interesting:

>white supremacist attacks
>Kenosha
oh shut the fuck up

That's going to piss off the people of Wisconsin. Majority opinion there is that Kenosha Kyle did what he had to do. Wisconsin already loves Trump, though. I go up there pretty regularly and I see Trump signs and flags all over the place. Lots of people with land near the highway even get huge signs and have spotlights pointed at them at night. If Wisconsin doesn't go red, I will know fuckery is afoot.

Really? It felt like that was the only thing that wasn't planned tbh.

You can usually tell, because whenever Biden starts talking about a pre-planned topic the camera zooms in on him (to make him more.. leaderly? I don't know how to explain camera placement theory), while when Trump talks it's to the side to make him look fat(ter).

During the hunter thing the cameraman was kind of confused about what to do and just kept going back on forth on what he should make Biden look like; leader of the free world, concerned parent, or angry crusader.
"My son has a drug problem and I'm proud of him..."

I didn't expect him to do that but I guess the details of his forced separation from the military, drug bust, Burisma and baby mama are fair game now, especially since the Trump kids don't have anything that sordid in their backgrounds.

If Biden wanted to hold the moral high ground I don't think he should've quipped or used insults like "Putin's puppy", "Clown", or act passive aggressive.

This entire debate felt like this when they kept interrupting each other

So the DNC doesn't want to acknowledge ANTIFA's existence, and Trump outright calls the Proud Boys into action and "stand by?"

What the actual hell?

Also a reminder that Trump has acknowledged Q before so this isn't surprising.

If Trump came on TV and asked the Proud Boys to hunt down bonafide, verified Antifa in the streets and leave behind nothing but piles of bloody broken bones and quivering husks of flesh, he'd have my vote.

Letting them get away with mentioning white supremacists and right-wing militias in the same sentence was a mistake. Trump should have made some sort of comment about that. Also letting the CRT stuff slide as sensitivity training instead of calling it anti-white hate was another mistake.

He never explicitly says white anything in any kind of positive way, even though he will give hours long speeches for every other race and their communities
