Community Tard Baby General (includes brain dead kids) - Fundies and their genetic Fuckups; Parents of corpses in denial

Luna always looks so scared.(:_(
Wouldn’t you be if cysts were outgrowing your brain matter and your head was almost on the verge of exploding?

It’s odd that Miss Empathy Nutrition can look at her daughter and not want to end and ease her futile suffering, and instead has been prolonging it as much as possible. I stand by my belief that anyone who publicly labels themselves an empath is mostly likely a narcissist.

Thanks to the KF posters I now can obviously see Miss Empath was labeled high-risk because she’s a fucking loon who’s behavior has already cost one child it’s life. I wasn’t thinking about the big picture on the reasons that label is applied, but “mentally ill mom who thinks she knows better than doctors” is immediate high risk assessment.

I feel bad for that second kid already.

I already have a gut feeling that the second kid is gonna end up more fucked up than the first one. Mark my words.

If everything goes right with this baby Miss Empath is in for a big surprise when the baby cries a lot and refuses to indulge her painting or cooperate for photos.

But even if the birth goes OK this time, there's still the problem that she refuses to go to the doctor. Newborns and babies need a lot of appointments to assess correct development and catch disabilities (physical and mental) as early as possible. But Luna didn't see the inside of a doctors office until she was three months old, and only because she was having seizures. Which she was in denial about, she took Luna with the intent of ruling out seizures, only to be told it was definitely seizures.

This story isn't too bad (though sad), but the attached pictures are kinda special.

I think the SCOTUS shifting is going to make that worse in every way possible.
I know every lib is depressed about RGB dying, but I'm just pissed about the obstruction of Garland. Ole lady should have retired in 2009, spared people the headache.

What it'll come down to though is regional access. We're going to see a South filled to the brim with every one of these potato tardbabies and dead women. The more urban and coastal/northern states, of course, won't push any state laws to limit anything, so they'll look more like Iceland.

Other countries that aren't Catholic(or Muslim!)-run, without the abortion stigma, they do a lot better by their disabled. They usually have state healthcare, which means access to services. Whether they're as good as a rich celebrity child in the US could access isn't relevant; they're able to access services at all. That's not guaranteed in the US. Also because of the selection bias of abortions, there are less people competing for those services.
Trump SCOTUS pick, federal Roe V. Wade might get yeeted

Is...that what reiki actually looks like? Jazz hands with essential oils? Also do hospitals even allow essential oils in rooms?

Magic healing hand waving bullshit is my understanding of reiki, yep. Although even the hand waving isn’t essential - apparently a trained (LOL) “reiki master” can send reiki out to people wherever they are in the world.

I assumed it involved actual physical massage with aromatherapy, which could at least have some affect. Not on a baby like Luna though. But I guess it really is more woo-y than I thought.

The hand waving looks sloppy too. At least make it graceful if you are going to pretend you can heal people with spirit energy. She looks like she is using a Kinect.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reiki

According to the inscription on his memorial stone, Mikao Usui taught his system of reiki to more than 2,000 people during his lifetime. While teaching reiki in Fukuyama, Usui suffered a stroke and died on 9 March 1926.

Guess none of his students had magical healing powers. Otherwise they could have saved him.

Reiki is Japanese and based on the belief in chi. It is another one of those 'laying of hands' woo techniques that has been mostly hijacked by granola loving white women.

There is no central authority controlling use of the words "reiki" or "reiki master".[42] Certificates can be purchased online for under $100. It is "not uncommon" for a course to offer attainment of reiki master in two weekends.[44] There is no regulation of practitioners or reiki master in the United States.

The Washington Post reported in 2014 that in response to customer demand at least 60 hospitals in the United States offered reiki, at a cost of between $40 and $300 per session. Cancer Research UK reported in 2019 that some cancer centers and hospices in the UK offer free or low-cost reiki for people with cancer.

:lit:

I think the only reason those hospitals caved is because it makes them money. I'm sure there's some type of limit on how far they are willing to go with woo patients' lunacy. I wonder if they use their own staff or hire a diploma mill graduate of woo bending.

Sometimes it does I think? tbh I can see why reiki could make someone feel better even if they’re not touching you, you’re basically doing a mindfulness/meditation type thing and calling it “energy healing.” Just do some deep breathing ffs

Stuff like Reiki and healing crystals is 100% placebo. If you can convince someone that waving a hand in front of their face for half an hour or putting a pretty stone in their handbag can make them feel better, they will believe that it really does help somehow.

The only people who fall for this shit are either depressed/bored white people or creepy narcissists who want to have special powers.

It's harmless and normal to have little rituals that calm you down. There's no shame in being a little superstitious/spiritual if that's what helps you cope. What pisses me off is selling them as a miracle cure to other people, while discouraging them from getting PROPER help. Reiki doesn't fix or prevent hydrocephalus. Modern medicine does though. It's fucking insulting how Miss Empath is pretending to cure a condition SHE caused while doctors are working their asses off in the background having to fix the mess she made. Empathic my ass. I wouldn't be able to live with myself, let alone role-playing as supermom online.

LOL she’s doing it on Luna? the video wouldn’t load for me, I thought someone else was “healing” Robyn. Jesus.

Imagine being a doctor and watching this kid suffer unnecessarily and then walking in on her mom trying to energy heal her with oils 🙃

I remember the quote going around about "I'll drink raspberry tea for a sore throat but antibiotics for infections." If something can help alleviate simple problems, cool. But there are things where modern medicine is really the only thing that can help.

I sometimes used to have a smooth piece of rock in my pocket. Not because the crystal vibrated right, but because rubbing a smooth surface in my hand was relaxing. Like a stress ball.

I'm sure doctors see this all the time. I don't know what would stop me from wanting to be a health care professional the most: having to deal with breaking bad news to patients/family, or having to constantly deal with patients' BS. I really respect them.

There are people who make a fucking ton of money doing reiki healing. Absolutely wild.

In this story the mom pestered doctors for a C-section for a baby that ultimately lived for only an hour and then died of massive organ failure. Also includes bitching about even the suggestion of abortion and plenty of dead baby pics for the entire internet to see.

Lilly Joy's family made the decision that was right for them.

Here's an interview with a woman whose baby also had Edwards Syndrome (Trisomy 18) and the funeral director who handled the baby's service. It's 33 minutes long, FYI. Again, this family did what was right for them.

More people torturing a fetus that will die at birth, causing pain is a great choice I guess
