I heard they made No Man's Sky better but I just don't care. It was such a shithouse at launch I don't even want it to be redeemed.

I gave up on this due to realizing I was king of werewolves, wizards, thieves, assassins, other assassins and for some reason I was trying to save the Empire instead of taking it over
I'm playing through it myself on 3D All-Stars, and while I'm having a better experience than you, I don't think I'm going to 100% it. It's definitely the weakest game in the package. Sunshine has a distinct lack of polish compared to 64 and Galaxy, which is how 64, a game with an even worse camera and clunkier controls, still comes out as a better experience because it knew its limitations and feels more carefully built.
There's no equivalent of the broken-as-fuck pachinko machine, the bullshit blue coins, or the frustrating watermelon mission in 64 either. Maybe Tiny-Huge Island but even that's less irritating.
Vietcong was it or conflict vietnamI've dropped animal crossing more than i could count. Played with various GFs who were into it and i tap out so god damn fast. I get it's supposed to be a comfy game but fuck it's boring and annoying hearing the characters.
Quit Ninja Gaiden for hex box because it's hard as shit.
Normally i have a high tolerance for repetitive stuff (Disgaea/GBF fag) but some games just ain't worth a damn. I drop and get back to Demon Gaze every year. Farming for the right weapons for the last boss is stupid and takes forever and I'm tired of fighting the same enemy.
I drop Final Fantasies 12-13.2 because they just feel repetitive in a non rewarding way.
Conception II is a boring disgusting looking jrpg. Atlus and Chunsoft should be ashamed of themselves.
I quit demons souls out of pure frustration with the camera.
Quit F-Zero for gamecube on the tutorial stage because it asked for an unreasonble time to complete the track.
There was this vietnam war game i used to play on PC as a kid but i stopped trying when one stage was all foggy and i kept getting sniped.
Man, that game felt like a waste of time. Like, the levels were stretched by making the player go through them again in reverse. The enemies were mediocre and samey despite their supposed diverse differences, the whole "collect meteors while driving" was put in to stretch the game out, the city-hubs felt unnecessary, crafting was tacked on, the story was wooden, and there was no real final boss, with the ending being literally "To be continued". Sure, I finished it, but only because I was 16 or so and didn't know better. Also, RAGE, for being completely uninteresting and forgettable.
the first optional race? I think you only have to do one mandatory one early on. It was fun, just kind of one note with design. If you like post apocalyptic settings, you’re going to play it anyway even if it’s less than ideal. I liked that they kind of ditched the movie lore. It seems like the only licensed games that arent 100% fucking awful are ones that are set in the same universe, but different characters or the game is not reallly that tied into the movie lore stuff. The Riddick games were pretty good (I’m sure it helped that vin diesel owned Tigon and he’s a big ol gamedork anyway). The games didn’t really follow the movies, they were kind of seperate stories and it worked.Mad Max.
I loved it up until the goddamn race. Holy shit, I hate that part so bad I just couldn't enjoy the game any more.
morrowind was a great game, but holy shit had to convince myself to keep playing it early on because the graphics were pretty hideous and the tedious time it took to just fucking travel places. The story and even the dlc were good enough to make it worth it but ugh what an ugly early game experience getting to that point, Oblivion was fun, esp the Shivering Isles stuff. I tried playing ESO, but the bugs at the time were fucking gamebreaking and it was murder trying to solo shit. I also have a stack still in shrink wrap of a bunch of Assassins Creed games from last gen that I never had time to play, then so many new ones came out so fast that it became intimidating how far behind I got. That's Oblivion and Morrowind too.
I have newfound respect for visual novels.
By that I mean my respect and tolerance for them has sunk lower than before.
Now these types of things have existed as long as many genres and they're still so bad at making actual gameplay.
People may rush to defend Phoenix wright but those at least took stuff from adventure games and had puzzle solutions same with 999, those fall into actual games.
But holy fuck having multiple choices does not count as engaging gameplay and we all know what happens when games claim that their strength is in the story(TLOU2). Visual novels commit the same sins as AAA western trash which want to be a movie. In both instances they forego the strength of the medium which would be interactivity and they turn it into a passive experience.
Western Devs probably perfected the first person adventure genre with Riven and Myst where you get to actually explore environments and solve puzzle solutions. None of these japanese developers can be arsed to make a world able to be explored. It's all still images and text boxes and the real kicker is they're running most of these things through Unity now. I've played some where all you need to do is have a turbo controller hit X and that finishes the game for you.
Oh and the Coom Brigade defends every single last one because of the claimed "superior" character designs. Using MUH DICK to justify an awful piece of software is the same as the feminists screaming MUH SOGGY KNEES!
These same types of people are what made idol shit just flat out murder any sort of interesting anime.
These rice cookers forget where they areLol, calm down nerd.
I quit playing shortly after they added Doomfist. All the extra characters up to that point were nearly useless, and the whole game is just Team Fortress 2 but without the humor. I went into Overwatch ready to main Symmetra because she seemed like my kind of style but she was like the shittiest character ever, and her teleporter was tied to her ultimate, which was stupid. They took the TF2 Engineer and thinly spread him across Symmetra, Torbjorn, and Solder 76, but made the characters so relatively simple that they're not nearly as adaptable to different situations as TF2's Engineer. I think that might just sum up why Overwatch is kinda shit.Overwatch. Played it for 5-6 hours, got bored and never touched it again.
There's nothing really to bring me back either.

Me but with Dark Souls. Everyone hyped it way up so I figured I'd give it a shot and it ended up being a chore of just bashing your head against bosses until you figure out their moves and then just rolling around until you whittle health down.Bloodborne.
I could never get gud
