I've heard him say in a past PCP episode that when he plays a videogame for over two hours he start to feel guilty, as his parents always tried to correct him on wasting time.

The same way 98% of mid/smaller youtubers stay afloat - they were born spoiled delusional brats whos parents pay for everything far into their 30's.

Sounds like Nate's parents worked really hard at making their son a productive member of society, and it worked for a while, until it didn't. And instead of joining a cutthroat-but-recognizable profession, like musician or actor or comedian, where at least there is a huge audience for the most successful members, Nate instead chose one of the most obscure and niche "artistic" fields he could possibly choose. Will he be 32, or 35, or older when he crawls back, asking them for a loan so he could move back to his old state and beg his old employer to let him rejoin the normie life? It's kind of sad, honestly. I can't help but feel sorry for the parents.

This doesn't seem like a popular opinion here, but I think Nate is one of the least talented members of Digibro's little gaggle. I've never heard him say a single interesting thing that wasn't a cliche.

I don't think Nate is the type to bum off his parent's money. I mean if he was, he wouldn't of saved up enough money to last a year without working last year. Instead he would have just quit his job without caring about his finances.

Feels like Nate went backwards ever since quitting his job. Before people loved his videos, but criticized him for taking too long. He then MIAMAFV and similar projects where he is forced to upload on a particular frequency whether everyday or every week in order to gain a level of consistency in work ethic and content flow while maintaining some quality. Even after quitting his job as stated before, it never really got better and in some ways worse. I can only assume he has managed his money well from his job that he saved up. He always talked about how when he finally quit that he saved up a bunch of money so he could safely try internet content creation for at least a few years to see if it will work out. Even though his overall income and content has decreased in many regard he is probably making enough from stream tips and such to make up for it.

For him to have enough money to try internet creation for at least a few years, he would basically have to have retirement-level savings at the age of 30. I believe that he has an undergraduate degree, so that's retirement-level of savings after about 8 years of full time work. What's more likely is that he has a few thousand dollars saved up, and that is rapidly dwindling as he makes less money than he expected.

Of course, he probably didn't expect his business partner to deteriorate mentally so fast, so we can't completely blame him for what is going on in his life. I feel a bit sorry for Nate in this regard; despite being a mediocrity, I have never gotten the sense that he is a toxic person like Digibro.

It's kind of the same when it comes to anime, I remember him doing a video on Konosuba 'because he needed to get a video out'. The video itself was pretty shallow and years later he admitted not having finishing it yet. He wanted to do insightful long videos but as we all know he has the attention span of a small child, so instead of doing what video game analysist do and releasing a video ever 3~4 week when his patreon is was doing really good, he dove into vlogging and narcissistic pseudo science.

Not wanting to watch anime week to week as the season progresses, but rather binging it is a fine way to watch, you do you. But him wanting to be in the spotlight at least every few days, thus the smaller videos while also wanting to do long videos didn't work for him so he went all in being an attention whore making wild promises about always having ideas and neglecting his patreon rewards along the way.

Think of it this way: there is a reason a lot of artists (drawing) close commissions once they land a bigger project. Most people can't handle doing short term projects together with big, long term projects.

Most of them have given up on internet content creation anyways either stopping altogether or slowed down by a considerable amount. They all had a chance to do many things and pushed it off or didn't capitalize on things when they had the chance.

Taking both of these into account, Khantent's Re:Zero videos just seem like shoddy desperate cynical cash grabs that make Mother's Basement and Gigguk look like Demolition D. Digi and (possibly also Nate) has become exactly what he despised about anitube years ago - trite, unimpassioned, and creatively bankrupt. Unfortunately, it seems to be working if Khantent's Subscribestar numbers are anything to go by albeit slowly.

The subscribestar went from $446 down to $423 as I'm writing this, about two days later.

It might be because somebody got mad over their uninformed ReZero video or a 1000 other reasons. I don't know or care. I won't speculate on intermediate results and $20 here or there, I will include the Khantehnt numbers when I review Conrad's patreon at the end of October. I just wanted to document here that they're not neccesarily on the fast track to success with their channel even though they gained a lot last month.

I have to agree now listening to it. It seems Nate is the only one doing research as he looked up what happened in the webtoon (the source material) and even though both forgot names again, Nate brought notes to remind himself during the recording. Seeing Digi in drag again from this point on also confirms for me that all previous episodes were recorded in bulk.
