Trump is going to host Rush Limbaugh’s show tomorrow for a radio rally.

that’s pretty impressive to do, three hours with questions as well. I’d like Psychicpebbles to call in with his Trump impression for this new meme magic.

So it looks like he'll do virtual rallies until he gets back on his feet.

Could he get back to in-person rallies in states like Arizona, Florida, Pennsylvania, and Minnesota?

As great as this sounds, can you elaborate on what you're going on?

Because on my end, I've seen nothing but sheer desperation to recruit the young dumb kids to their side. To the point it's become a huge campaign of "VOTE TO SAVE OUR COUNTRY". Very reminiscent of 2008's Black Jesus with "HOPE, AND IT'S TIME FOR CHANGE"

I was worried that people were actually falling for it like then.
People cite a lack of enthusiasm for Biden, since younger idealistic voters may not be happy that he’s abandoning progressive policies as he attempts to appeal to the center.

A more damaging factor is lower registration in 18-21’s as a result of many colleges being online only or having reduced campus presence. Young adult turnout is always low, but without effective campus registration drives, it’s starting from much further behind than normal this election cycle.

After seeing how horribly the last presidential debate went, I'm struggling to think of how a virtual one could be any worse.

The only things I can think of are technical difficulties, animals and/or family members walking in, and interrupting, or Biden or Trump just fucking keeling over midstream.

All terrible, and hilarious, but not nearly as chaotic as the last one, barring the last option doesn't happen.

Trump should just set up his own town hall style debate with himself (like he did before) and declare it the "real" second debate that Biden is welcome to join. Watch the media freak out.

Exactly. Instead of a rally, he should just rent a hall somewhere in a battleground state (they're all empty now anyway), grab a few dozen random citizens plus the mayor, and say "now let's hear what the people want to talk about, instead of what a moderator thinks".

Rejecting the change to virtual was the correct call, but just doing another rally isn't good enough optics. He needs to keep the spirit of the town hall/debate going so he can slam Biden over it.

The Joe Rogan interview is also a great idea, I'm honestly kind of shocked he hasn't jumped on that already. Trump and Rogan are both show biz guys, Rogan has his own studio and can do whatever he wants, and the only logistics involved would be flying to Texas.

The only other issue with the debate that would've happened both virtual and in-person is the fact that the moderator is a former intern for Biden who is still his friend.

Christ, how hard is it to get a moderator who isn't affiliated with either of these fucks?

Surely, you can get Jerry Springer, or Maury to do it, and probably for free.

Trump actually did agree to a Rogan debate but Joe hasn't commented

Here's the latest from 270:
The latest is Biden: 290 Trump: 163

For comparison, their "final" map for 2016.

Actual result being 227 - 304 after the faithless elector stuff.

If you try to correct for the difference and apply it to the 2020 map it's pretty neck-to-neck, but in reality the polls could just be sample weighted differently (more intensely) today so it's probably pointless to try to find anything meaningful here.

Yeah, I mean since a proper debate isn't going to happen, just make it a regular 1-on-1 interview. I'm sure Rogan wouldn't mind getting a sitting President on his show after having so many candidates.

It doesn't help all the debate moderators show some degree of bias (mainly for Joe) though it would also be bad if we got someone like Tucker Carlson as a moderator too

So far we had Chris Wallace who was obviously bad, but happens to be a registered Democrat

The VP debate's moderator was Nancy Pelosi's biographer, but it wasn't that bad there since Pence kept control over the stage.

Then we have Joe Biden's friend for the second debate.

The third debate's moderator is an MSNBC reporter, which is more left wing than CNN.

I usually am not the type to go for "REEEEEEEEEEEE MEDIA BIAS" but this is very suspicious how all the moderators are democrats or lean towards DNC establishment types.

It's not suspicious when you realize that the "Bipartisan Commission" isn't really bipartisan. They're all liberals and one GOP Trump-hater. You'd never get a mod sympathetic to Republicans when they're choosing who it is.

Trump should at least give Rogan some sort of Presidential award for his contributions to the media. Invite him to the White House, give him a medal, and let his viewers think what they want. It might even be better than an interview—who would reject a Presidential medal?

He and Pence should do a live interview together on Joe Rogan at the same time the debate would have been.

The SJWs at Spotify won't let him.

If they felt they actually had the 18-21 voting bloc engaged, do you think they would be desperate to get the supposedly liberal-exclusive youth vote to show up?

If they burned Bernie too many times and the ShoeOnHeads of the world have decided to just sit this one out and hope for a real socialist in 2024, then they're completely and utterly fucked.

These arbitrary debate rule changes keep on happening when the Left doesn't get what they want.

Tulsi earns a delegate from a Territory qualified her for a debate, the DNC arbitrarily changes qualifications.

If this was a matter of Trumps covid, this decision would have come days ago. But it's clear they want Virtual debates because as of last night, far too much damage has been done.

Because they'll use it to cheat even more?

After Kamala's debate it's becoming clear to the campaign that these candidates deteriorate rapidly whenever they come into the light. They're like vampires without the sexy.

How? By feeding Joe lines, or cutting Trump's mic, or wifi?

If Joe did a remote debate they'd feed him every line through an earpiece and/or teleprompter. Maybe even some deepfakery. Hell, they might even wait for a moment where Trump looks annoyed, starts to speak and then override Trump's A/V feed with a deepfaked video of him losing his temper and screaming racial slurs at Biden. Virtual debate is an invitation for every dirty trick you can imagine.
