Well it could be true (I doubt it), but I think this shows how the media makes a democrat win a safe bet since if you don't explore more beyond the media, Democrats are these squeaky clean candidates who are super popular with the youth.

They were still regulated by the Fairness Doctrine until 1987. The FCC required the stations to appear fair when discussing controversial topics.
