the irony is while being obsessed of lesbuns, Bob probably doesn't think (much if at all) about the fact that "Lesbun bed death" is rather common. And I'm sure many of those lesbuns are hotter than Mike Pence. :optimistic:

I figured that malls fell out of style because of places like Walmart. Why drive 45 minutes to a mall, when you can drive down the street to a place like Walmart in your town?

That book sounds interesting though.

Care to explain for people who are too cheap to buy the book? I would think that compulsive spenders like Bob would be a godsend to malls (or they were until Amazon and other online shopping took off), especially if they think they're too good for WalMart (I'm less up on my Bob lore but I know this is DSP's mindset).
Oh jeeze, I'm gonna try to talk about this without devolving into sperging about malls.
Never mind I've had to edit this a few times because I trailing off topic. Having a hard time summarizing my thoughts.
IN A NUTSHELL: The book is about the history of malls, how they got started and the laundry list of reasons why they failed. It is also about how they were a cultural icon and social gathering place just as much as a place to buy things. Keep in mind this is all before widespread internet (which was one of the nails in the coffin for malls). The magical time where people had to talk face-to-face in the real world and socialize.

Bob isn't social in any way. Look how he talks about people he feels are beneath him. He has nothing but spite for others that he sees in the way. On the flip side he desperately pleads for attention from people he considers highly of coming off as extremely insecure.
That's why Bob is what I call a "Nihilist Consoomer" as product has replaced personal development. Its the only way he can connect to people. Strip off all the pop culture, video games, and political sperging he is just a fat guy that thinks most the population is horrible, and the outside world is bad. In the ye olde days you had to develop as a person even just a little in order to function, but Bob hasn't achieved that. Now its just a constant supply of pop culture, and product used to fake being a functional person.

Ironically where I live some malls are still doing pretty well (with a few tweaks)

Got screenshots?

they are having a little back and forth, by the sounds of it they've been sniping at each other for a while

Peter is one of the handful of breadtubers that have on occasion laughed at some of Bobs crazier shit. While this always chafes Bob he will usually just squirm and say "Wow thought we were on better terms, still wish you the best friendo!" Irc peter had some take that amounted to "Cancel culture maybe not good and also oppresses!?" which got him flak and gave Bob the green light to go full bob on him. This has been going on for like a year and half now or something and is a consistent side show in this thread.

Bob sounds like an antisocial video game addict. Looks like he even had problems at a young age, too.
Video games kept him reigned in I'd say.
When he was doing "Game Overthinker" his vitriol was only as far reaching as throwing insults at Military FPS games and chads playing them.
Then Gamer Gate happened and all gamers were made political. He finished his Game Overthinker series and he only gotten worse from there.

Play video games all of my life and never wanted to dress up as Mario Mario just to fulfill my childhood fantasy as a man in my thirties. It takes a special kind of autism to make you want to do it.

r/stupidpol (a Marxist subreddit that critiques intersectionalsim and identity politics) has been having a field day ripping into him for this:

Doubt he even plays video games any more. He's like that "Are ya winning son" edit where the son is too depressed to play video games and just argues on Twitter instead.

You missed the reference and joke. You have to get on my level in order to get my jokes.

Bob Chipman is the perfect example of someone who is so unlovable to a point, that they believe by showing others love and support they will show it back in return, but they never do.
Bob is the living emobiment of a 40 year old manchild who lives in his parents basement.

Not even the Mulan controversy really did much damage to Disney. I'm honestly surprised Bob hasn't denounced Disney for filming their movie near a literal concentration camp.
actually this is a little off topic, but disney's been putting up somewhat of a false image recently, and is definitely being hurt, if it wasn't for the other live action remakes making so much money they'd be in deep shit.

All evidence points to star wars still not making its money back after having the IP for years, solo bombed, TROS made less money then expected, disneys had to pump money into the stupid star wars galaxy land(Or whatever it is), and while we don't know how the merchandise went, with big toy mega store closures and stacked shelves, coronavirus and a lack of merchandisable sequel characters all signs point to not good. Mulan seems to have made literally nothing on the scale disney needs, coronavirus delaying movies, the purchase of fox, an MCU with rapidly declining interest, multiple tv show flops in the early 2010s.

Disney has deep pockets, but it's undeniable that poor decision making higher up has hurt the company throughout the 2010s, which they only really survived due to MCU and Kevin Feige handing them gold by the truckload, and disney needing to essentially exploit and demean their own brand image with cash grab live action remakes that have rapidly ran out of interest. and trust me, disney loves its brand image, it wouldn't be making these live action remakes if they didn't need the money and they had some alternative creative money maker.

Disney has definitely been trying to make itself look bigger and more successful than it actually is. They've had a lot of flops lately and their biggest franchises are all in weird places (Star Wars' biggest success was a TV show they thought would be a throwaway, MCU is pretty much over and needs to basically reboot, etc) and Covid crippled their entire financial year. Despite its size and scale, it's actually doing fairly bad and may need to downsize eventually.

I'm sure the thought of Glorious Disney losing some of its power makes Bob's whole body fill with pain and rage, since he's pretty much the exact kind of trained hyper-consumer sycophant Disney has been cultivating the past decade.

Disney isn't exactly losing money in a vacuum. All entertainment companies are struggling right now.

The Covid slowdown would have to continue for another couple of years to long term cripple them.

Bob's politics are so weird to me. He is the combination of all the bad aspects of a couple of political theories as understood by an idiot American. He has a childish understanding of socialist policies with no concept of the costs to enact them (typical of US left) mixed in with the utter greed and straight hatred of the poor that makes up the worst aspect of internet libertarianism.

He inexplicably cheers for the destruction of the working class, or really anyone not in the entertainment industry, believing they can boot strap themselves like he did, seemingly completely oblivious to the fact he is losing market share in the ever crowding pool of youtube low effort content. He embraces a world image of technologic development that is certain to leave useless people like himself to the wsy side.

He is no real different than my fellow dirty foreigner Tommy Wiseau, although at least he was smart enough to cash in eventually. I do not give Bob would ever do this.

He's a corporate-cocksucking neoliberal. His beliefs are a mix of left-wing idpol with libertarian "dog eat dog" financial views. His worldview amounts to "if I can buy an Iphone for $100 less its worth 100 children being beaten in a sweatshop" ala Steven "Destiny" Bonnell.
