Since nothing is happening, I would like to talk about Spoony forums. I end up getting there because I wanted him to review mediocre and obscure Cadillacs and Dinosaurs: The Second Cataclysm video game, based on Xenozoic Tales comics. I was a fan of beat em up arcade game by Capcom, and thought it would fit Spoonys "I hate everything that I didn't grow up with" style. Little did I knew back then, that Spoony only reviews what he wants and when he feels like it.
I ended up interacting with few TGWTG ppl there, Linkara was there, Benzaie and Lordkat were very down to Earth and friendly, Lupa and PushingupRoses happen to be among the members. Linkara was always smug, but nowhere near as today, he would take jokes and make fun of everything, including himself and his work. But yeah, even back then, he was elitist, in lesser form.
Scarlett was - fine in my book. Yes she was main admin (other was Spoony himself), but nowhere near as ppl like to remember her. She responded in PM every time I asked her, in a fun selfaware way, with "Cheers" in the end. She would interact with members, make treads like "What would be if 90s kid (Linkaras character) and 80s Girl (I think Linsey did that one) had a kid". She did ban people, mostly for violating rules, including me because I did one of the worst offence - spoke about TGWTG producer in toxic or insulting way. I called JesuOtaku "Flatchested girl that you can use here torso for ironboard, and who none wants to fuck". So yeah, Scarlett was nowhere terrible as people remember her. Also she would step up to defend Spoony when he had his "writer's blockade" phases and other "where is my "free entertament" (as Spoony would call his videos) this week?" excuses.
As for Spoony, he would come from time to time, but he didn't post much stuff, infact he would do one to maybe three posts a week. He enjoyed been center of attention, and like to encourage members to write certain amount before he would post answer. Sometimes he would respond to something that he find interesting, but most of times he would lurk in the shadows and wait patiently.
As for the whiteknights, sure, they were on the forums. I remember once making tread that Spoony would do crossover with Metal Gear Ben from Screwattack (I wasn't aware that Channel Awesome hated SA, because of firing Handsome Tom by Stuttering Craig), some members attacked me by saying that someone as high & mighty as Spoony shouldn't be in video of some lowlife pleb as MGB.
Funny thing was that few months after my ban, Scarlett and Spoony broke up, she left admin duties, and Spoony did "Kidnap Hope tie her up in his basement and love her his way" tweet. Karma can be a bitch sometimes.
