Great observation. Self reflection is a part of survival mechanism, and even most superficial personalities reflect on their past selves even if only when something bad happens to them, with the exception of people at the far end of the personality disorders.

Professional victims are all about themselves. They don't care about possibility of being useful to others. You must want the suffering to not happen to somebody else to warn them about it, it's empathy that drives it. The lack of good will warnings is probably because they don't have genuine regrets, they were not hurt. Genuine advice would be of what to look for in themselves not in other person. What to look for in the guy is irrelevant, because that same guy will fit some other girl.
