The FBI and DOJ have told a Fox News producer that they do not believe that Hunter Biden's laptop and its contents are part of a Russian disinformation campaign. This means the intelligence community concurs with DNI Ratcliffe on the matter.

Further, a federal law enforcement officer revealed to Fox News' Martha McCallum that Biden's emails are "authentic."

I remember being disturbed as a teenager when I began to see variants of the following on drama subreddits:

First they can for the racists, and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a racist

That's just one I grabbed after a five second google search, but I remember seeing smug variants of that poem pop up all over the place in 2015, when I just wanted to read some good old fashioned internet drama on reddit, but people were starting to bring up gamergate butthurt into everything and become obsessed with racists that were gonna mind control people through the internet if they didn't personally save the world from them.

Except, to play devil’s advocate for a minute - we as a society have already held that falsehoods do not automatically count as constitutionally protected - the old falsely shouting fire in a theatre example - if it’s both known to be untrue and dangerous.

And I think that an argument could be made that some misinformation that has been censored by these companies could fall under that rubrick - let’s say that we KNEW masks did stop Covid, then telling people masks didn’t would be false and dangerous. And I could understand why people would think banning dissent on that is acceptable.

The problem, of course, still lies in the fact that there is no universally neutral and constantly accurate arbiter of truth ...

I just want to say go and vote. Even if you're in a solid blue state, vote. Because even if Trump loses your state, they're going to go 'HURR POPULAR VOTE' so every vote does matter.

Nate Gangue was bitching that mail in voting wasn't going the way he wanted earlier last week. Basically, the Democrats are peeking too early for the final ballots to be heavily blue.

A lot of people became politically active because of Obama. And from that they got a inaccurate perception of politics and the arrow of history. Not simply winning because that is what they were told would happen has broken a lot of people that up until then were likely far more spoiled than they realized.

Obama was the biggest fucking disappointment. He had a massive mandate and all the fuck he was was another fucking neoliberal shill who only gave a fuck about his legacy. Hilary totally fucked him over by leading to the propagation of ISIS and the European Refugee crisis. Yeah, maybe you shouldn't have her for Secretary of Fucking State. Retard. But he got what he deserved there. Obama will be remembered as a thoroughly mediocre president who kept the status quo.

Take heart and keep strong. Move as soon as its feasible, but almost every measurable metric that is verifiable says Trump is going to win. The enthusiasm gap, the various cookie poll, the chinese manufacturers who make presidential materials like signs and bumper stickers say Trump will win due to sales numbers, Amazon product reviews, voting registration is heavily in republican favor and who wins voter registration has always won the election. Last and not least, the very skewed polls that are pushing a Biden win so far say Trump is going to win based on the early voting.

Biden needs to be up by 30+ points before election day and right now the highest he is at is 10. Most republicans aren't voting early. They don't trust mail in voting, Trump is pushing for on the day voting, and they believe the democrats are going to try and steal it. Voting on the day makes stealing it much harder.

People are posting the 4-4 decision in Pennsylvania upholding 3 day later voting but have ignored the 6,7 other states that had their late voting measures revoked or struck down.

The fact Bidens team sent out memos to everyone saying DONT BELIEVE THE POLLS. THE ELECTION IS NECK AND NECK. MAKE SURE YOU VOTE. Is a terrible sign for team Biden. The fact they have a lid on until Thursday after this laptop escapade indicates w/e is on their is bad(doubt cp) considering this same week is when they sent out that memo.

Based on my own personal experience, I don't think this will do much. I tested talking this out with a friend who gets his news from Trevor Noah/Colbert's shows and he dismissed it out of hand saying it's all Russian disinformation. After I showed him the DNI/FBI denying it's Russian disinfo, he got upset and said that he'll wait for the investigation to finish but Rudy is a known liar. As an aside, fuck the Daily Show for promoting the idea that news comedy is actual news.
