I think it was good letter. But I don't think you understand the RCMP for who they really are as a federal paramilitary organization. RCMP are not your friend, and they're not looking out for the average Canadians best intrests. They look out for themselves first and foremost... justice be dammed. These are some of the laziest public servants you'll ever see. I know this for a fact because of family in a high ranking position. They take so many coffee breaks it would blow your mind. The amount of time spent on shift in McDonalds getting free refills is disgusting. They are also corrupt right down to the core.... for example look at the Nova Scotia shooting. The shooter, Gabriel Wortman, was (allegedly) a confidential informant for the RCMP against the Hell's Angels, and he regularly smuggled in firearms and grenades from the USA with full knowledge of his RCMP handlers. Then when Gabriel shoots the place up once his cover is blown the RCMP go into clean up mode, deny everything, and bury the crime away from public attention as quickly as possible. This type of corruption is 'part and parcel' of the RCMP.

That being said I'd rather have them around than no police whatsoever. They do some good work and fill a necessary role in the community, it's just that the majority of their shifts are spent either fucking the dog or getting involved in things they shouldn't be doing. They'll also burn you alive if it means protecting one of their own, regardless of law or morality.

edit: after reading my comment maybe I was a bit harsh. I didn't mean to convey that RCMP are the boogeyman, because they're usually nice people when you talk to them and Canadian's are generally glad to have them around. But as with any other federal organization there's always some corruption, lazy employees, and staff that were promoted to positions that they are incompetent to fulfill. It seems the RCMP tend to be way over census in all those categories and nobody knows how to clean house and start again without disrupting service. Ex brass have said in the past that the only solution they could think of is to fire the entire force and train new hires - clearly that's impossible. Because so much of the RCMP's work is public facing, the problems within the organization are a bit easier to see than other gov't bureaucracies that don't get much attention as the justice system attracts.

Threatening to kill is an indicatable offence here in Australia and carries a 25-year maximum jail sentence with the average sentence being three years jail.

Jonathon Yaniv is getting a lot of media attention and a lot of coverage on social media worldwide. I am a journalist and I want to know why he has not been arrested for his threats to kill and why you have not searched his home for a gun, this is not good enough, you have a sworn duty of care to protect the public and you are not doing this with Jonathon Yaniv, a convicted criminal currently on bail.

If you want to look at his latest antics, threatening people, then got to a website dedicated to stopping his predatory and paedophile behaviour at Meowmix.org. In my country paedophiles are the walking dead, the public hates them, the police hate them, and the prison officers hate them.

What is it with you Canadian police? Does this paedophile get a free pass to commit whatever crimes he wants even when he is on a good behaviour bond set by the courts? This is very bad for Canada, a lot of people in Australia are seeing all of this negative publicity and are concerned with coming to Canada as tourists because you don't do anything about mentally ill, dangerous criminals like Jonathon Yaniv.

Please investigate and take immediate action against him now.

Apologies but I can't find the original post I wanted to reply to re the query of yaniv wearing some sort of nappy/incontinence pad(s), so I'll leave this here.

I played with levels on his "shorts" (hence some artifacts). I appreciate undies can sometimes give a vpl when you wear clothes too tight but the pic on the left, to me anyhow, shows there's quite some bulky stuff going on under those shorts.

I think it was good letter. But I don't think you understand the RCMP for who they really are as a federal paramilitary organization. RCMP are not your friend, and they're not looking out for the average Canadians best intrests. They look out for themselves first and foremost... justice be dammed. These are some of the laziest public servants you'll ever see. I know this for a fact because of family in a high ranking position. They take so many coffee breaks it would blow your mind. The amount of time spent on shift in McDonalds getting free refills is disgusting. They are also corrupt right down to the core.... for example look at the Nova Scotia shooting. The shooter, Gabriel Wortman, was (allegedly) a confidential informant for the RCMP against the Hell's Angels, and he regularly smuggled in firearms and grenades from the USA with full knowledge of his RCMP handlers. Then when Gabriel shoots the place up once his cover is blown the RCMP go into clean up mode, deny everything, and bury the crime away from public attention as quickly as possible. This type of corruption is 'part and parcel' of the RCMP.

That being said I'd rather have them around than no police whatsoever. They do some good work and fill a necessary role in the community, it's just that the majority of their shifts are spent either fucking the dog or getting involved in things they shouldn't be doing. They'll also burn you alive if it means protecting one of their own, regardless of law or morality.

edit: after reading my comment maybe I was a bit harsh. I didn't mean to convey that RCMP are the boogeyman, because they're usually nice people when you talk to them and Canadian's are generally glad to have them around. But as with any other federal organization there's always some corruption, lazy employees, and staff that were promoted to positions that they are incompetent to fulfill. It seems the RCMP tend to be way over census in all those categories and nobody knows how to clean house and start again without disrupting service. Ex brass have said in the past that the only solution they could think of is to fire the entire force and train new hires - clearly that's impossible. Because so much of the RCMP's work is public facing, the problems within the organization are a bit easier to see than other gov't bureaucracies that don't get much attention as the justice system attracts.
