Chalk another canceled game up, Persona 5 Scramble is now TBA and Sega has issued a rename calling it Persona 5: Strikers.

They don't want to release it on the switch because it would cannibalize the sales from Hyrule Warriors and they don't want to have it just be on the PS4 because the PS5 will be out.

They also couldn't get all the English VA's for Strikers.

Two days ago, the PlayStation 2 would be released in North America back in the year of Y2K 2000 (no relation to @Y2K Baby)

Fast forward 20 years later, Travis Scott goes from having his own McDonald’s burger to now officially narrating the trailer for the upcoming PS5:

Things really do change in span of two decades, it seems.

I still have yet to buy and play the Jak and Daxter, Ratchet & Clank and God of War games for my PS2. So much for being a Sony fan :(

They said the PS2 was sold out everywhere before release, impossible to buy if you didn't have a pre-order. Told a friend I could absolutely get one for him and I managed to do it.

Oh you can't get a Wii without a pre-order two weeks from release, no I can do that and did. Another friend wanted an iPad at launch and that was sold out, I said let's go buy one and we did and had a fantastic lunch. I had the braised tuna. That actually ties into the iPad part, people didn't try to pre-order or storm the store that sold luxury electronics in the same space as Burberry and other brands so they had it in stock that day. PS2, dinky shop no one thinks about that sells/rents mostly amplifiers got two consoles, similar thing with the Wii.

That kind of chase that is gone now. Same with figuring out how to buy games pre-release by gaming the system.

It's so sad looking in the local supermarket's weekly sales magazine to see the Switch costing more than god damn Xbox whateverit'scalled preorders. All Switch games are still full launch price while new PS4 games are not 2/3 as expensive. Imagine buying a port for the switch; both costing more and running worse.

Hell, I got a Switch Lite and a normal Switch and I can't even transfer saves without a monthly sub, and /not at all/ for most first-party games.

Incorrect in both cases. I've called 3 continents trying to get a PS5 and can't get it.

You can chase it but you probably won't get anything, that's what I meant. In the past there was no fucking way there wasn't an unsold [hyped item] sitting around in a store no one would think to visit.

Call Svalbardbutikken and see if they have anything, phone number is +47 79 02 25 20, most people wouldn't look there. They probably won't ship anything, pick up only.

The perfect game for Halloween has to be Dead Space 1. I still haven't finished the game yet and it gives me nightmares.

Bethesda games make me sad, they have such great lore and community love behind them, but they're locked behind an engine older than the Sega Dreamcast and developed by greedy retards who make Ubisoft look competent.

If age was an indication of the quality of an engine, then someone should euthanize poor Unreal for being over 20.

And mostly patched by it's fans via mods, since Bethesda is too damn lazy to actually fix their engine.
It's gotten to the point where the bugs have piled up that nobody can fix them because all the original people who made the mess left.

Microsoft has the same issues with windows. There's black box areas because nobody knows who did what and how they did it.

I suppose they could move to a new engine, but I'm sure some bean counter did the math and said it would be too costly to invest the money in licensing, or in creating a new engine from scratch. Not to mention, they probably pointed at the modders releasing patches and said "Why should we fix it when these fuckwits are doing it for us for free?"

How were modders able to fix and save Fallout 76?
tbh, I only played 76 for about a day before I went back to a heavily modded F4, so I can't really comment on it that well, although NexusMods is showing 676 mods for the game, so I guess they're trying.

So, about a year and a half ago City of Heroes was brought back to life in dramatic fashion after a secret private server was discovered. Drama ensued as the idiot who held on to the source code kept a cult around him with weird dox diagrams of everyone who was invited and who they invited. So for ten years, the server and source code was kept secret and we were fed a lie that the whole game was lost forever. When some reddit cucks and spergs from the old forums were lording it over the rest of us useless plebs who mourned the game. It was all leaked, loads of autistic drama happened including a possible murder attempt. But now we have Homecoming, the shitty server based on the secret server. Which runs like shit and will continue to due to the man in charge's ineptitiude with code and burning bridges with everyone who could help. Unfortunately due to being the first server activated after the drama it's where the majority of the community went. And because all their toons are there they all put up with literal Orwellian shit like invisible GMs who ban you for slagging off the server, consistently lying about the server costs, possibly running a racketeering scam with extra funds, lying about being "in talks" with NCSoft to become an official server for a year and a half, banning all streaming and video content on their server at all, and of course the usual drama from tranny mods abusing their power.

The server most other people go towards is Thunderspy. Which evolved out of the /coxg/ threads on Half and Cripple Chan. In fact, they got involved a lot with the drama in the aftermath of the server leak drama. I play on that server because they're actively adding new content like new Character creator parts, new missions, more stable server infastructure, and a less laggy experience over all. Along with neat extras like re-balanced classes, Mastermind pet customisation, and a community that feels like old school 2007 style camradery as opposed to modern day fun police.

So autistic rant aside, I've been having fun re-engaging with the community, making toons, and having fun. There's really nothing quite like City of Heroes. The level of customisation for your hero is second to none, classes feel distinct, with pet controlling Masterminds fielding an army of minions, whilst Tankers soak up damage, Blasters shoot the shit out of guys and Stalkers sneak around giving you that ONE FUCKING HIT BACKSTAB THAT WAS THE BAIN OF PVP I WANT TO CHOKE A FUCKING BITCH OH MY GOD! Anyways.. within the classes you have tons of types of ability trees to pick from that dictate a lot about the niche your class will fill, the progression from street level fighter to cosmic being fighting in the multiverse is satisfying, and CoH actually has some pretty rich lore and quest writing if you don't mind reading. Plus it's always fun to rob banks as a Villain or stop the villains as a hero. Anyway, above is my toons. I made a few of them. Can you tell I'm an recovering Altoholic?
