I'm not going to criticize phil for not voting because I fundamentally disagree with the 'everyone should vote' mentality. Its pushed by people overwhelmingly on the left who would if it was scientifically proven that Get out the vote Campaigns helped conservatives would drop it in a new York minute. I think and i waver even on this sometimes that people should have the option but not feel obligated. Not voting is as much a choice and a voicing of opinion as voting. Wanting maximum participation even by morons is dumb. You wouldn't want morons and the uninformed to be able to participate in your heart surgery. Why would deciding the fate of your country be any different? You all but drag them to the ballot box and you get elections such as this.

Phil stated on this evening's prestream that, because of chargebacks and Paypal fees, he made about $5 from the earlier stream.
It sucks, Phil said, because he basically worked "6 or 7 hours and got handed $5".

Buddy. We can see the exact amount of time you 'worked' earlier. Even if you count the prestream, that is nowhere near 6-7 hours.
I know he's exaggerating to make himself an even bigger victim, but it's really unnecessary to lie about this when there is a specific public record. It's unhinged.

Also worth noting is that he still has an additional $3k in cheers coming from OverpoweredBoone on his Twitch paycheck in 10 days. We predicted it, but these have now been completely memoryholed ahead of the check's arrival. The Twitch payday hasn't been mentioned at all, which is odd as this is usually when he starts to leverage the begging 'to make it to his Twitch payment', so he clearly doesn't want to risk anyone remembering that it's going to be inflated.

Don't want to derail this too much from the Pigroach, but I think it's more on the concept of by not doing anything you're retroactively adding to the problem. It sounds stupid that some dude who clearly eats glue gets the same level of choice as me, but that's one of the things America has that is incredibly beautiful, to give everyone a chance. The Pigroach not doing his right of voting in a "I don't like either of them" way is him being classic Phil, a fucking moron. There's a level where that opinion MAY have weight but as we've seen from this current election too many of that crowd can actually determine if a state is red or blue. I think the majority had that mindset last election and let it ride which is why Trump winning shocked the very core of these people like a surprised Pikachu face meme.

Tldr you are allowed to NOT vote in the USA, but wasting your right to vote is you being on the same level as the pigroach, which ain't a good look chief. Ack ack ack.

DSP thinks he's above the democratic process and above the people. He thinks he's above voting and above politics. He doesn't abstain from the vote out of a self-reflective duty to stay out of it if he doesn't have all the information to make an informed choice, he abstains because he's a lazy dickhead with a superiority complex.

I bet he sighed and made some smug comment when Khet left to go and vote (or mail her vote in). There's nothing noble, defensible or commendable about his choice not to vote.

Oh please man, honestly how much did your life improve because some lady went and voted in whatever crazy candidates and propositions she probably did. Everybody should want as many as possible to stay away from the polls. Don’t say get out and vote. Say, stay away from voting if you don’t know what the fuck you’re doing.

As I already said I support the right to the option of voting and that is what is worth defending. I voted but because I wanted to and felt I knew enough not because I was harangued into it one day or jumped on the bandwagon yesterday. Additionally I won’t begrudge anyone who wants to make fun of phil for being an ass about being a nonvoter but generally overall its a win as far as I’m concerned when lazy uneducated people don’t want to vote.

The Ancients had it right. Democracy is just another form of tyranny but with millions of people infringing upon your liberty rather than Saddam Hussain. Better to allow as many as possible to sit it out so you can gain more power over your life rather than being an idiot about it and herding them to the polls to dilute your vote because you watch too many psas.
