PC too, it's supposed to come out in July 2021, older plans indicate they wanted the compilation in Q1 2021 and the next mainline game in Q3 2021. Likely fucked due to chinaids. There's also something about a new Ace Attorney anime?

That's cause Investigations is shit. The DGS compilation is made with western audiences in mind, including lovely shit like being concerned about whitewashing the game if they'd change the japanese text on textures. There's some inane faggotry afoot. Sherlock is renamed to Herlock Sholmes due to copyright issues, and Watson is Wilson for the same reason.

Seriously though, to this day you have people that keep bothering the fuck out of capcom to translate the second investigation game and the reason why they haven't is because the old translation team behind the first game left/disbanded

On a positive note, A fan translation patch for the second game does exist. I played it myself once years ago and I remember enjoying it thoroughly. (although they did add some current event bullshit by making Lotta Hart a SJW reporter/photographer)

Not hugely invested into the leaked material, at most I would be interested into the Umbrella Chronicles source code but having it source-ported to PC so it can be played with a mouse would probably land any idiot that attempts to do so in hot water.

I'm rather saddened about the shift towards social justice, I have been expecting a Viewtiful Joe PC port for quite some time now, I guess this is the official confirmation that's never happening :(

More that it sold like shit so Capcpom decided not localising its sequel would make more money somehow. Also why they didn't want to go for the Layton vs Phoenix localisation and Level 5 had to do it like 2 years later. And also why the 3DS games are confined to the digital ghetto. All because AAI1 sold like shit.

I don't remember the fanstranslation having SJW shit in it. I do remember it having mostly awful names though, and it feeling like internet guys' imitation of AA scripts. If you want the exact opposite play the DGS1 fan translation, they're calling people japs left right and center. One guy is all "The scum people from that island in the east called Japan". Based. Also autistically faithful.

Can't wait till they announce a new Mega Man only to have it be some over the shoulder walking simulator about how oppressed the Robots are for having to follow the rules of robotics and do no harm. We can even have a scene where Zero murders Dr. Light with a ballpeen hammer or something to show how freeing it is to be rid of the rule of robotics.

I’m not too surprised about the LBGTQ+ awareness being spread in Japanese games, since in Asian countries they have more lesbians and feminists getting involved in cosplaying and game design. They’re trying to outdo the West by copying the model of thinking that video games have to be realistic versions of how art is portrayed. We’ll just have to wait to see how long it will last.

Still, I think this probably might make the famous “Dead Or Alive” and “Yakuza” franchises more female friendly and not really too reliant on what made the original games good.
