I will give GenZedong 2 credits here: they're not terrified of guns like the average redditor, and at least some of them are willing to mock incels, too. Some other communist subreddits like /r/stupidpol (which I would at least give credit for self deprecation, since they are indeed very stupid and sound like /pol/) are full of tards screaming about how they're stuck as a virgin with rage.

I suspect that /u/FULLWORLDPOSADISM might possibly not be the most well adjusted person, though.

Genuine extremists, as opposed to dumb edgelords, are often surprisingly erudite about the minutiae of doctrine. Their book lists are often quite interesting.

I've found that when looking for lolcows on Reddit before. While the /r/politics types are just plain retarded, the real hardcore extremists are people I could almost have a civil conversation with, though we wouldn't agree on much of anything. Seeing an extremist subreddit be decisively pro-gun and anti-incel (correctly seeing it as vile misogyny, not some kind of victimhood of upper middle class men caused by capitalism) was a relief.

I actually used to know someone who was this brand of communist, too, but he was an absolute lolcow who was autistic and used to be a Nazi furry before going left.

This is a generic class of person. Like the kind of person who joins one cult after another, regardless of how incompatible they are to their previous belief system, this is the kind of extremist who is more into extremism itself than any particular ideology. If they become disillusioned with their current ideology, they are much more likely to go to the exact opposite than to the middle. Whatever they do, they have to be extreme about it.

Weirdly he actually spent a year or so as a moderate between his Nazi and communist phases, which is when I got to know him. He was severely mentally ill and on medication, which might have affected matters a bit.

I wonder if it's because when your views are close to the mainstream, it's easier to turn into some raging ideologue who views anyone who disagrees with you as untermenschen because all your friends sort of think that way too. While if the only people who agree with you are a vanishingly small minority that you wouldn't even know exists without the Internet you're forced to be a bit more civil and open-minded.

Well indiviudally talking with an extremist is ok. But in any extremist groups they are straight up autistic. Idk if this s a powerlevel or what you call it but when I joined an extremist group discussion I got banned for an emoji.
