@NasserRabadi13 Good job cucking Micah out of his spot tonight. F(orgive) Nasser. You've hugged the cactus for long enough.

All signs indicate "very often". In the interview at around 20:00, Ross Richie describes his prior career in Hollywood, most notable as a screenplay vetter for Arnold Schwarzenegger. He talked Keanu Reeves to get onboard with a business model that's only trial run was Expendables: Go To Hell by Ya Boi Zack and then executed it in a way that brought in an order of magnitude more backers while simultaneously winning over both LCS retailers and kickstarter rivals. How would the addition of proven success (and unparalleled success at that) be a disincentive to future celebrities interested in starting their own self-funding IPs? You can attribute everything so far to luck. What I saw in that interview suggested it was anything but.Richard only got what he got because of Keanu’s involvement in the book. How often is he going to be able to pull that trick out of his hat?

It's as Frog once said, "Captain Cummings had great ideas about Comicsgate. Then someone came along and did it better". New people being introduced to crowdfunded comics is a potential huge boost if those customers are courted, but if CG gets complacent in its closed off ecosystem and don't keep up with the rising competition in the field, they all run the risk of being Captain Cummings.
In other news:
Today on on ALL CAPS, Frog gave his response to Liam's resignation speech, rendered through a damage controlling Micah Curtis, in the form of putting Nasser on his show and endorsing his comic ASYL after saying here that he would do no such thing. He also eulogized Micah's CG career at 1:03:47, describing his presence on Frog's show as "an elephant turd" who was covetous of the attention Nasser receives from Frog.

You're being a good sport.Thank you
Such a fun show.
Thank you @FROG. We are now 4 backers away from 100 backers! We've gained 20 backers since I appeared on the stream, thank you so much.
Also, my channel is almost back to where it was before I left CG. I had been at 1,622 subs before I left. Went down to 1300something. Got a few horror subs and worked it back up to 1440ish, but since my return subs have been pouring in.

AND IT LOOKS LIKE MY STRIKE IS GONE! Super excited to stream again. I go back to work the 8th, so our time off for covid19 is over, but better late than never.

Struck stream in question, the one before Ethan and Mike worked things out.
I agree, nothing is healthier for the crowdfund model than big companies charging a premium for the book on kickstarter then releasing it through every other conceivable outlet first, and at a much cheaper price.Agreed! We're in for some tough competition, as more and more A-list celebrities pair with indie comic companies to crowdfund comic book IPs!
Not unlike D&C vs, Cummings, Ritchie took a look at what Mitch Breitweiser did with Allegiance Arts and super-charged it with the biggest stars in Hollywood. From a customer's perspective, who could say no to paying for your comic first at an inflated price, and getting your comic last, long after it's hit retail when it's Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson who's pitching it you? And just how deep is Ross Ritchie's rolodex??
Also, from a creative person's perspective, this provides a rare opportunity for workaday comic professionals to effort really hard for a powerful Hollywood entity on IPs they don't own, a situation sorely lacking in today's comic book industry.
It's all so appealing. I'm prepared to be replaced.
Now I know how OG CG felt.
Was she trying to make it worse? That Star Wars Girl posted a “fix” which prompted anti anti SJW Twitter to make fun of her.
Just a update since everyone has the wrong info.Thank you

Agreed. Just look at the level of success Comicsgate has had through plying meager homegrown youtube celebrity for marketing purposes.I'm sure you could contact big celebs like Screech or Peewee Hermann to appear in Cyberfrog. Maybe the Blues Clues guy? Kids today love that shit its not retarded at all.
Bringing in celebrities is even better! Especially when the celebs get paid way more than the work-for-hire artists actually drawing the book. Nothing motivates artists more than not owning the IP that makes millions of dollars. This is definitely the future of comic books.
Man, feels and agreement Sir Dongs. If only I could use multiple reactions. All signs indicate "very often". Me, I'd say no in a heartbeat. The content needs to be there. But slap the Rock's signature on say a hundred and you could make a mint. From a customer's perspective, who could say no to paying for your comic first at an inflated price, and getting your comic last, long after it's hit retail when it's Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson who's pitching it you? I don't understand why she isn't orange skinned or have glowing eyes? It's a visual medium and she's the daughter of an alien...In other news, DC released a cover for a YA novel “I’m Not Dtarfire” with Darkfire reimagined as 3 feet tall and morbidly obese. Predictably, anti-SJW Twitter made fun of it. That Star Wars Girl posted a “fix” which prompted anti anti SJW Twitter to make fun of her. I don’t think artists should jump on these bandwagons unless they have a clear idea of what they’re trying to accomplish.View attachment 1766248
I didn't know he white knighted for donal, but Shane's opinion is his opinion. Even if I knew about it, there's no point in bringing it up.Did Nassar bring up Shane white knighting for Donal?
Thank you.Glad for your success, don't let it go to your head.
Didn't he post in that live stream you guys were doing a couple of weeks back that he'd work with Donal when you, Ethan, and Mike? were talking about Donal stiffing you. I don't know, I took it as weird..I didn't know he white knighted for donal, but Shane's opinion is his opinion. Even if I knew about it, there's no point in bringing it up.

Well when he started saying like "I'll only take 45%" and stuff I thought it was a troll account. Was that really him?Didn't he post in that live stream you guys were doing a couple of weeks back that he'd work with Donal when you, Ethan, and Mike? were talking about Donal stiffing you. I mostly brought it up as a joke. Obviously you shouldn't bring it up on stream. I just thought it was a weird thing and I didn't even understand if he was serious or joking.
I get 99% of CG tism, but Shane can still throw me.

Just a update since everyone has the wrong info.
As of 8:53am PST the strike on THE TRASH COMPACTOR CHANNEL has not been lifted.
When the strike is lifted, I will update you again.
or did Liam lie again?
I don't know.Well when he started saying like "I'll only take 45%" and stuff I thought it was a troll account. Was that really him?
As of 4:46pm PST Liam has not removed the strikeLol at this fucking fix. I'm so very glad this adjustment left her still in the shape of a rotund potato, with the added bonus of catching a better glimpse at her fucking cankles. Thanks Anna, very cool. If they wanted to make the sjw's ree, they should let the artists who have the balls to draw this embarrassing self insert skinny and attractive, that'll cause some ass pain (if it hasn't happened already).
I know this is a shocking statement to make, but I'm betting everyone's favorite orange lol cow isn't gonna be lifting shit and is just waiting for them to expire. Bonus points if Liam considers this very act as "lifting the strikes" and going on to brag about how he could have put everyone in Aussie jail, but was the bigger manlet and decided not to. Let's see how it plays out.
