Is Geoff Keighley human?

I think Brie is nominated for content creator of the year too. Does that create some sort of conflict of interest? Probably.

I can't decide if Brie being pushed onto Youtube so hard is a sign of her acting career being dead, or if it's a sign that Hollywood is dead.

I keep seeing all sorts of dumb rumors about Microsoft announcing shit at the game awards, including a resurgence of the "they bought Kojima Pro/Konami IP" shit.

Brie's not nominated, maybe you're confusing her with Alanah Pierce who is also blonde but unlike Brie has actually contributed to the gaming industry/community for years.

I think The Game Awards is a total wankfest created solely so people can say "Look, the gaming industry has an Oscar-level event! We're legitimate and important!" and then suck each other off, but if they actually nominated Brie for anything they'd have negative credibility.

If anything, The Game Awards de-legitimizes the industry. They can have all the pretentious cinematic games they want, but as long as the stage looks like a god damn laser light show, they need to constantly push trailers , mountain dew and shick razor bot ads and the majority of the audience is made up of dudes wearing t-shirts and jeans you're only reminding everyone how fucking childish the industry is.

The game industry is that guy who constantly tells everyone how grown up and cultured he is while also always wearing shorts, only orders chicken tenders when he goes out and overly analyzes pro wrestling.

I don't think so. There's a woman nominated, it's Alanah something, a former game journo.

Indeed. The previous version of the awards was Geoff trying to be hip with the kids, this new version (the Game Awards) is about turning the medium into some chic hobby for fake geek types.

Oh boy I sure can't wait for yet another ''gaming'' event with no Elden Ring news and a bunch of awkward manchildren sucking each other off.

All I want is to see is new game announcements and trailers.

And maybe a new Smash character.
It does feel like we're due a new Smash reveal or at least a trailer tease. Ultimate to me is pretty much done considering they're not adding any more SP modes like Break the Targets etc. but I don't mind firing it up to test out a new character and play through its classic mode route every few months.

I figure COVID slowed things down, but I do feel like we’re due the teaser, yeah. Like Joker back in 2018.

"Our big little game" lol fuck off

TLOU2 is just a hugely popular indie title after all I see, no multi-million dollar production here.
No no, the first guy is the one who made Hades. The tweet is showing the comparison between a guy who’s just happy to be nominated and thanks the fans for helping get the game off the ground vs Druckman going “lol vote 4 my game to own the h8ters!”
