Wait what's Yahtzee's issue with CDPR? Is is the crunch, cause I can't imagine him doing the troon sperging that the rest of the game journos are.
If he's really that big of a dunce for not being okay with crunch that was voted on by the workers, for a single extra shift, worked at home, for massive bonuses, then he can fuck off.

He was buttmad at them because they didn't wanna sell his games on GoG, (and kinda explains why he never brings them up in any sort of mention) plus from what I recall he also had a very huge axe to grind with the Witcher games. He hated the 1st because he claimed it was too boring so he dropped it, he hated the 2nd because he claimed the crafting/leveling up system was too complicated and with the 3rd he went on saying how the main character is a Gary Stu because he has 2 swords and every major NPC knows who he is.

"why does this man with novels and two other games of backstory, in a dying profession that is none the less highly valued and widely recognized, who has done some pretty big shit in world garner so much attention? it boggles the mind. AND TWO SWORDS? WHY DOES HE HAVE TWO SWORDS! what do you mean silver is effective against monsters because lore but a shit metal for killing humans in armor?"

haven't watched yahtzee regularly in years but that does sound like him anyways. iirc the whole silver/steel thing gets explained in every game anyways, and it's pretty quick to see it from a mechanical standpoint.

I think him being salty over GoG not wanting to sell his games is far more hilarious though. Like, thats some huge ego dude.

Yeah, I don’t get the crunch issue, it seems to me anyone in the industry would realize it’s part of working for a big corporation, similar to retail staff working during the Christmas rush or Black Friday or something like that.

the bigger part is that it seems like it was pretty justified in this case -- they found a bug that was bricking PS5s iirc, and the game had already gone through cert and printed discs, so they had to fix it, do cert again, and reprint a bunch of copies of the game.

Having worked private sector in the past late nights weren’t uncommon for anybody including management. I would usually get into the office around 7:30 and often find myself finishing 6pm sometimes later because we had that much to do.

Obviously there are times when games would benefit from being given more time and more relaxed schedules for devs, but the crunch CDPR put their employees through is the most non-issue of any of these fucking crunch controversies have been. Honestly feel this all is because Jason Schreyer is a fucking hack who needed a story and manufactured one out of nothing, and fellow cucked journos going to bat for the fucker.

fun fact: women are more bloodthirsty than men and more willing to wage war when in a leadership role, statistically speaking.

I know this is true. Though, I do have to ask. Is it because women are more vicious, or power only tends to come to women who are more vicious?
...But what if modern medicine could somehow combine the two through drugs and surgery to create some kind of Frankenstein combination to make the worst out of them both together??? 🤔🤔🤔

It's truly a shocking and terrifying prospect...

The aggression of a male and the unearned importance of a woman? Isn't that what a Tranny is these days?

He's also buttmad that, of all the phrases he's tried to coin, the only one that stuck was "PC Master Race". That one came from his review of The Witcher 1, which he's scornfully brought up on ZP. So that probably didn't help either.

I don't know if Jim's audience is declining but at the very least it doesn't seem to be getting any better. I see this as a good thing.
He's been sitting in the low 900k subs for a while now, so I think his channel's still growing, it's just slower than it used to be. I quit watching him routinely earlier in the year because he was just repeating topics and adding more obnoxious garbage to his videos, like those creepy CGI puppets he (Justin?) makes out of people's faces to read their quotes.

Not just that but different companies would price shit differently. I remember all the Super Star Wars games were like $80 each at Toys R Us when I was a kid.
I remember reading about Phantasy Star IV on the Genesis being sold at $120 MSRP, and I personally remember a lot of Squaresoft games being $80 at Toys R Us.

Granted, those prices were much more justified at the time, due to how expensive ROM chips were. It was bullshit that Playstation games on CD-ROMs were still asking $50, at a time when you couldn't even use the MUH DEVELOPMENT COSTS excuse.

My dad bought me Sonic 3 (shaddup, the Genesis games were good) for my birthday and I remember it cost like $70 or $75.

I hate to defend yahtzee too much, but he does riff on shit for comedic intent. Case in point he put Witcher 3 in his game of the year list. And he is pretty passionate about stories, and it is kind of silly.

On the other hand, I can see him being assmad about them not putting Consuming Shadow up on GOG. Thats kind of funny

How dare GOG have standards!

What are the metrics used in this ILGA map? Are they objective measurements based on real data with proper analysis? Is the UK going down due to rising oppression in the UK or other nations improving? So many questions are raised in this "snappy" headline that don't all lead to the conclusions Jim and co make (not to mention that these special interest grifting groups have to make things look bad to prevent their own obsolescence).

From the article in the Tweet...

Oh right, its feels based on muh Trump and muh Brexit.

Here is the criteria for the UK. Unsurprisingly they're all to do with the gender specials and concentrate on things like constitutional recognition not hate crime stats. Also apparently we don't have hate crime laws protecting trans people, ok then.

So to bring it back to Jim. He hasn't read it, he doesn't understand what it measures and the US (you know where he lives) would score worse.
