Do you really?
When it comes to Bob, if you even somehow bring it up in passing he will instantly chimp the fuck out. Do you remember that for him diabetes is like "He who must not be named"? I wonder what the obvious prospect of morbid obesity and not being able to walk out for the mail without hyperventilating would be for him.

Is there a single movie for adults this pants-shitting manbaby likes? Any time he has mentioned a real director who makes anything other than capeshit or monstershit, it is to shit on them.
Like Andrew Dobson (who is a fan of MovieBob), MovieBob's taste in anything is extraordinarily bland.

I thought I was pretty divorced from the whole Disney thing to give a shit, but i have to admit that some of these shows line ups they have are so bizarre that you can't help to notice, like a Turner & Hooch series, you know, the Tom Hanks cop dog movie from the 80's... meeeeember?

Or Mufasa origins... why? what the fuck is the point? we all know he is going to die anyway. Prequels are some the most bankrupt ideas hacks have. Unless some character has a secret origin pointed out in the original story, then don't bother... And even so, it is still kinda shit, because we know how it's gonna end up.

Still, whatever, I'm not gonna watch either way, so what do I care?

I am curious about Iron Heart series just to see if they are going to keep her origin story, which is one of the most bizarre things in main stream comics made by a writer that clearly lost a lot of his mojo from his hey day.

For those who don't know, and unlike Robert, I did read her blasted comics, Riri Williams models her life into being Tony Stark and having a iron man suit because Riri insisted to her teacher to deny her aspirations so she could use it as motivational spite.

Bendis clearly thought this was supposed to be charming and witty, but it just came across as fucking creepy.

And it doesn't stop there, people complain that Iron Heart is a mary Sue, super duper genius smarter than Tony Stark and better in every way, but that was the least of her book's problem. The whole original run of Riri Williams really paints her in a bad light, you could say say that it was to prop her up to a character arc, but the narcissim and borderline sociopathic behaviour from the heroine just really threw people off.

I've heard that the new writters walked back on Riri and made her more likeable, but they also said she is now bland, like Miles Morales.

I guess it's safe to say that Disney won't be using Bendis original concept, which is kinda of a shame, because that was the only thing remarkable about Riri Williams, who didn't have enough charisma to even hold the name "Iron Man" and had to go to the second class "Iron Heart".

Get those pom poms ready Robert, this one will need some extensive Staning for it to work, but we all gotta do our part for the superior future huh?

To sum up a boring story, I did a search of "moviebob" for videos just in the past week. Some we have apparently been missing.

Also, I swear this is not a joke. If you search on youtube for "moviebob" and filter results for the last week, I keep getting this threaded through the results:

Even YouTube knows...

That is a moment I legit can't tell whether Bendis is being ironic or dead serious in his "please oppress me" narrative and I feel like that says a lot more about the modern left than they realize.

And I still stand by my statement that Bob's "bullying" in school was the equivalent of Riri's oppression that you posted. Nobody cared about him, and that eats him up.

Given another context, I could tottaly see Riri Williams "origins" as being a satire of the " oppression porn" a lot of mainstream pastiches have become.

But no, Bendis was dead serious. By the time he created Miles Morales, he adopted two black kids, and he felt like he should bring more black characters into comics so his daughters can grow up with.

And it's a nice sentiment and all, even if it comes across as a bit as "rich white people self-satisfied masturbation". But the shitty thing is, he was just placing black characters into the shoes of a recognizable heros, and as much as people cheer and celebrate, the character will still be just a version from the original.

Take Miles Morales, not very interesting character in the comics and has to go around always being the "black" Spiderman. And what is worse, even the best iteration of the character (The Spiderverse movie) still needed Peter Parker to help him out for brand recognition, and most tragic of all, even though it was a Miles Morales movie, Peter Parker was a far, FAR more interesting and compeling character.

And he did the same with Iron Man, but this time with a black girl. But it failed so bad that they kinda gave up about Riri being iron man and have the incels dealing with it, and just renamed her hero name. And from the looks of it, the series isn't even gonna try to make Riri the next Iron Man, she is just a black chick with a armor.

But here is the kicker, one of the main things about the Riri's original run was that she was being mentored by a Tony Stark AI, and Tony Stark AI was fucking awful with it's Wheadon-esque quips, but it was also the best part of the books and it was the thing that gave validation to Riri being "iron man".

Now, is Disney really gonna pay RDJ his weight in gold so he sits a couple of hours in a booth to deliver some lines to a TV-rate CGI of himself, so Disney can try to legitimize this series as being a iron-man Spin off?

And to end, and to be fair, Bendis created a black super heroine on her own on DC comics. Naomi... that's it, Naomi, that is just her name. it lasted 6 issues and no one gave a fuck. I've read the thing, and I can't recall any of it.

It's funny because I read comic during the age of legacies. Wally West, Kyle Raynor, Jason Rausch, Mayday Parker... were all names I knew and fell in love with. It's amazing to me that within my lifetime I've watched the comic book industry become incapable of doing what it did just a few years ago.

How can they not realize that you don't build a legacy by tearing down what came before because you're tearing apart the very foundation you're building upon?

Stupid meatbags. (See also: the star trek thread)

I might be wrong, but aren't Shoe and Ellis both (ahem) 'single' lefty brunettes ?
There might be a pattern here.

in terms of unrequited simping, at least.
Yeah, there's definitely a pattern going on her. I'm not just talking about Robert, I'm talking about how lefty men simp for celebrities they line up with politically and get angry with them when they get ignored because an actress/Congresswoman/whoever has better things to do than respond to a failed film critic's constant attempts to get m'lady's attention.
Again, I bet this has been said a million times but the real biggest resentment Bob has got is that the real world makes him work. He may be glad he can work by just doing what he wants to do anyway and then criticizing it but thats still too much. He wants everything on a platter delivered NOWNOWNOWNOW and forever. The real world makes him work and expects him to pull his weight at least a little to get by and he cant stand it. He is truly like the aristocracy of old, viewing being fat and pale as positive because it means he is better than the peons and he doesnt need to sweat to make a living.
Exactly. He's a 17th century baron stuck in the modern day and, as a royalist, I've never wanted a revolution more.
I'd just like to point out that one of the first anti-black laws slave owners passed, regarding free blacks in the Antebellun South, was that no ”free Negro” could preach to other black people, whether free or enslaved. This was because they viewed the Gospel as a threat to white supremacy and were worried that it might encourage ”drapetomania”.

200 years on, we see members of the white upper-class and of the same political party that supported slavery argue that black people who practice their faith should be blacklisted and that priests should be banned from giving ”anti-science” homilies, in the same way as slave owners attacked priests who gave anti-slavery sermons.

Plus ça change, plus ça c'est la meme chose.

I always loved that picture, not that I bought or read the book, (friends don't let friends read Bendis books) but to me it exemplifies the modern progressive mindset. Ignore any and all progress made and go out of your way to find any and all "oppression" and when you inevitably can't find any, make it up.

I don’t know what’s worse, Bob’s Mario fetish or Disney fetish.
Nintendo gets bought out by Disney, then Mario becomes part of Disney canon. Bob then cooms to two of his favorite companies joining forces as he celebrates Disney getting an even bigger entertainment monopoly.

Robert's showing his hate boner for Tulsi Gbbard for not wanting men in women sports:

With Cinematic Diabeeto being the way he is (extremely bitter, spiteful, and covering his issues with women with a loud veneer of feminism), it's hard to imagine he's not so gung ho about trannies in sports because he secretly gets an incel hard-on to biological women getting obliterated by them.

Riri Williams, who didn't have enough charisma to even hold the name "Iron Man" and had to go to the second class "Iron Heart".
Real missed opportunity that they made a female Iron Man character and didn't name her "Iron Maiden" (but then I'm guessing there would probably be copyright issues with the band of the same name and such).

What really bugs me about this year's "PERSON" (singular) of the Year is that they made it 2 PEOPLE (plural). It makes no sense but I guess TIME knows a Biden presidency wouldn't last long before Kamala took over. I'm guessing they also wanted a women of color in the spotlight since one of the other finalists was "Racial Justice Movement" which makes even LESS sense since it's not a person at all:

TIME is a fucking joke.
